DIY Iden Versio Battlefront 2 TIE Fighter Helmet- Backyard FX

Jake pieces together an Iden Versio tie fighter helmet, from the Star Wars Battlefront 2 game indy_mogul: I've never been the worlds biggest fan of Jake's work, it all seemed a bit sloppy. Its probably better than anything I could ever do, but compared to like season 4 of BFX it just couldn't compare.
That being said, Some of the stuff, especially his Graflex Conversions, have been really good, and seem to reach that same level as BFX: TOS. But nothing really for BFX hits the mark. Just my two cents, keep doing what your doing because its still great to have BFX back.

Might I suggest using plastic from an empty soda bottle instead of the lenses that came with the mask? it'll make the eyes bulge less and most likely make the helmet a bit more intimidating. Plus if it's a 2L soda bottle you'll have more plastic to experiment with if you haven't figured out what will tint the lenses properly yet.

FYI: be sure to heat-seal your foam with a heat gun before applying the water downed glue or plastidip. If you don't you are gonna create a lot of tiny pinholes or texture problems which will need a lot of patching.
I love plastidip when it works but it can be a major pain at times.

Don't want to sound like a dick but Backyard FX has fallen so far behind, the past few months videos have been so sloppy, can't even compete closely with the content Punished Props and Tested are making

The helmet build is fabulous, and the gloss black is surprisingly nice too! But please do us all a favour and invest in an airbrush. Those hand painted stencil masks just stand out like a sore thumb!

Its been a while but if you still have that piece that you feel like you should save. It looks so much like the nose of a republic shuttle from the early seasons of the clonewars. It's uncanny

I really want to see some tutorials from the 2017 adaptation of IT (e. g. bitten off arm, Pennywise crawling out of the projector) Would be really fun to do!

Could you do a remaster for the hidden blade? It's way to hard to make, and I kinda want to have my own flare on one instead of buying a generic one.

Or. if you had more time to spare you can download the blueprints from Pepakura, make it out of cardstock then Bondo and paint it.

I'm sorry but the last couple BFX have been looking so sloppy. Can't even mask properly to get good accent colors for the details

cool video. Have you tried making the ark of the covenant from Raiders? Thats likr the most iconic prop I can think of.
