Can I ask, in the shot shown at 5. 08 the background does some odd movement, like the distance from the trees and the brick seems to increase. I've seen this look on tv and films, where the camera zooms and the depth seems to get greater as it does. Is this an in-camera effect and do you have a video explaining how it works

this is one of the better hyper lapse DIY videos! thanks a lot guys! The red laser pointer was a smart move, next time I'll definitely do that. hopefully you can see my hypes lapse if it makes the dunking donuts cut! ill post it if it does. I did this same process except I recorded 1fps videos using the Red Dragon =)

would a hyper lapse work if youre recording a timelapse but its moving slowly? or get a old fashion manual timer, where you twist the hand for the countdown, put your phone on top of the hand and record that? if anyone has done that please message back

Question. So I'm using FCPX and After Effects. Should I compress the entire video of each shot in FCPX, then export, then drop into Adobe After Effects? This might be the dumbest question ever. I am not NEARLY as smart with AE as I am with FCPX

I know this a late response but when I was deployed in the Navy there was a bottle of that on every table. I was on a small ship so there was only two tables, but there was a cubbord full. Thanks for the video. Interesting stuff.

you didn't mention but one key requirement is to keep the exposure manual (aperture + shutter + white balance [or stick to raw]) otherwise no matter how smooth you are, different exposure will make the video look jerky

. hmmm. if you had a cart with triggers on the wheel, you could trip the shutter every time the wheel went around. no more chalk, measuring, etc. also, if you're a filmmaker, why can't you keep your head in the frame?

Hi Griffin, Really nice video. I just wanted to know if you could tell me that what is the term for a video shot in which I have sped it up and it looks like a time-lapse but is actually just a sped up video.

Great video! Please tell me how to add fcpx stabilization. When I select the compound clip of all the photos, the stabilization button goes away.

great video. but after Control - D - 1 Enter i can't stabilize the pictures. right in the menu isn't the stabilize button. how can i do that?

Hey does anyone know if the 1 pic per frame thing works on lightworks?
If no is there any free software that can do this?

Great Video! You speak so clearly that german people (like me) can understand all of it what you say in the video!

Couldn't I just use the Video feature on my DSLR using a Steadycam and speed it up in editing to get hyper lapse?
