I have been watching TV for 60 years. Mrs. Maisel is the only show I have ever seen that the only way I can describe it is. BEAUTIFUL. The locations are BEAUTIFUL, The costumes are BEAUTIFUL, the camera movement and lighting are BEAUTIFUL, and the serious use of wide locations with many other extras in the background are BEAUTIFUL! In this third season, I cannot express how I am awed in every scene by the scope and the color. As a TV watcher, I almost feel like I have been blind, and with Mrs. Maisel, I can see COLOR for the first time! Did I say I LOVE THIS SHOW?

At first I just watched this show because my wife started watching it and then I kept noticing how elaborate the camera work is on this show and really started to enjoy every single episode more and more. Grade A creatives are obviously in control, I can't wait for more of this. Season 3 was incredible just the camera work alone should be award winning.

One of my most favorite shots is the one of Midge and Benjamin leaving the Catskills in his big red convertible. The camera comes up behind the car, moves over the top and looks down on them (as they are also moving) and then comes down in front of them. Absolutely outstanding!

This is fascinating. I love the look and feel of the show, but had no knowledge or understanding of why and all the talent, thought, and effort that goes into it. They do such an amazing job that it's seamless, always adds and never detracts from the show.

The Handmaids Tale is also a Classic in Art Direction and Cinematography. In the last season. The Use of RED and Camera placements were breath taking. Some of the Frames were. like a contemporary painting. Absolutely stunning. Please break that down too.

I want to watch this video, but it's late at night and if I do I'll be too hyped up to fall asleep. The cinematography in this series has made me pause scenes just to scream. It sends chills down my spine in a way most things don't

I stumbled on Mrs. Maisel quite by accident, and the first thing that struck me was the cinematography. That drew me in, and then the amazing writing and performances kept me coming back. It's one of my favorites for sure.

What's really amazing is that I feel that Gilmore Girls tried to have this specific aesthetic of cinematography but Amy didn't have the budget to, but now we have this which is, well, marvelous! AND THIS IS A TV SHOW!

This is why Rachel keeps mentioning all the tech people. unheard of quality artists. They have these awards during commercials. What does Barbara say about using her music?

Please do a quick follow up video to explain the sound recording of some of these long takes and wide shots. That is something I've always wondered about with this show.
