The only way to answer that question is to look at the price tag.
$449 is not Indie Filmmaking. Indie Filmmaking is an $80 beginner drone for kids. If you can make something passable with that and a bunch of freeware, you're well on your way to being a decent filmmaker. If you can't make something good with the cheapest possible crap, you're just a poser.

In the United States, under 250g drones are not required to REGISTER but are STILL RESTRICTED by the FAA. You cannot fly this over an airport for example! Please correct this egregious error. Best practice is to use B4UFLY app in the US at least. Last thing we need in the hobby is idiots flying their Mini's in places they shouldn't because they were told they are unrestricted. There are rules.

Meh. I own the first Mini, none of these upgrades matter to me. Extended distance is nice, but doesn't justify getting a new one at this time. I only film in 1080p 60fps. The new update this year gave us full manual setting control too. The best upgrade would be an improvement on flying in wind, but you probably have to alter the body at that point for that.

So, you can't shoot natively in 24 fps? I get why you would just want to shoot 30 and slow it down, but I was under the impression that you could shoot at 24 fps out of the box anyway.
That was main downside of the Spark to me, and I thought the Mini and Mini 2 rectified that.

Said it last year when the first one came out. It was DJI using the regulations as a marketing campaign. The drone was always silly. This one is improved but with no log profile it's still missing what would make this a must have.

This looks good guys. Mine is arriving on Thursday, I'm also in South Cali and was a little concerned how the footage will look like during our sunny days, but it looks solid! Can't wait to add this guy to my hiking videos!

Bought the first version last winter and loved it. But knowing the industry, knew that they would release another version by the next year (I was right. Decided to sell it in the spring before the used price dropped: )

Footage looks pretty good, but I kinda of feel like the lighting was pretty ideal. I've been looking to upgrade my mini and this seems pretty good but idk might have to get the mavic pro 2

Great video but please add some natural breaks in to your audio. The content is great, the visuals are great, the audio quality is great but your audio edit makes it really uncomfortable.

i got the mini 2 recently i love it but i already feel like log profile is needed although it's my first drone. The picture profile is really too much saturated

Great drone I love it as I was a Mavic 2 zoom pilot but the new UK drone laws have made it hard to fly the Mavic 2 zoom were I won't.

The battery is not capable of allowing the drone to travel 6 miles. Needs 24fps too. Maybe good for very simple shots.
