I agree completely with the way free to play games are being ruined. A lot of iphone games are ruined in that way too. People spend more time signing up for offers, giving up their information and e-mail to advertisers rather than actually PLAYING the game. The games are more spam than actual gameplay. I've also seen the premium virtual currency being sold for 100$ in real money if you don't want to do those boring spam offers. It's all spammy BS and no actual gaming.

I used to play this and for a short time it was ok, something I liked about the game was the design of the buildings, sure they were cartoonish, but they look ok. Then I stop playing it because it was boring, after the nostalgia rush I saw how shity the game was, If you think Simcity 2013 is bad, hell, if you think Simcity Societies is crap, try this game and you'll see how wrong you were.

LOL I lost it at 6: 05. THE BALLOONS! O___o
What's sad is that they use a tiny clip from the original Sims soundtrack, and the way they loop it makes you annoyed with it within a couple of mins.
It's bad if this game makes you annoyed with a piece of the original soundtrack, because the music's awesome.

no, cityville is way suckier, i stopped playing that game on day 2, you have to waste like 4x more real money on that than simcity, and the feel is worst, feels like everything is all stuffed. simcity social is ok game, i spent 10$ on it, population 20000+ after 1 week

This game holds a special place in my heart because I thought it was alot of fun and it shut down around the time he passed away. One of the last things I ever did was build a bowling alley in his honor (he was an avid bowler. Watching this was super nostalgic.

i like village life. you have to spam but you also earn those coins you pay real money for in game to a degree. so you really don't need to pay. you mostly spam for dates. your person has to marry outside your village so you use their dating service to find a mate.

This game is so annoying i blocked it out of my memory i ever tried playing it. until about 15 minutes into this video. I wonder what you'll think of the newer incarnation of SimCity on mobile. It's called SimCity Buildit. Still not great, but a lot better than this!

It's going to suck for those people who pay 100's upon 100's of dollars to further the game. No replay value what' s so ever. I have friends online who actually pay and I tell them that the game won't last forever. Of course only if you have a harddisk one.

I honestly can't look at this game as anything other than a marketing gimmick. The timing and advertising for this game screams at me -Check out SimCity 5! If you like SimCity Social, pay money for our upcoming game! -

I hope that's not the case. But then again, maybe that's just a part of me that's hoping games return to their pre-2008 phase or whatever (AKA more -odd- or unique games.
Welp, at least indie games will always be there.
