I doubt that they'll include height sliders, it would mess with the animation between sims. I have a CC height slider on my sims 3 and my sims haven't been able to find each other's lips ever since(But I can't imagine playing without it anyway) Imagine the work that would go into making the animation function properly between a variance of heights then consider EA's track record of doing that kind of work. Even if they sold it as a $100 expansion, I think it'd be beyond what they're willing to do right now. :/
I agree with you on the topic of effecting the world with your actions. Right now I have a serious problem with a stepfather who won't quit asking his now-adult-stepdaughter out on a date because the game forgot their relation after her mom died. I mean. ew. xp

I wanna be honest, I never had any problems to run Sims 3 with any expansions pack even with hardware that was not at all high end, actually it was kinda low end. Seems to me that most people who play Sims these days are either very young and their parents don't know where to buy good cheap computer and buy them a laptop or something senseless or they are older people that just don't give a shit to buy anything new.
But in all summery it means that you tried to run it on a horrible horrible underpowered system. But if that are the most potential buyers, than this is the best way. Also I agree with the little cartoonier look, it suits way better.

For the most part of this video, I couldn't agree more. But. I really don't like the new graphics. No, I'm not saying they're horrible and not realistic. I hate how they made it cartoony and I like the realistic looks of the Sims 3. Although, for the create-a-sim, well, that might be the only reason I'd play this. Finally, no more sliders. I also like the emotions but like the guy explained, they seem limited. Honestly, I might stick with the Sims 3. Then, maybe wait for a Sims 5 or something to come out that is absolutely fantastic. That's just me.

I think i'll stick on the sims 3 till they've put enough information so i don't fricken waste my money! I just on't like the graphics as he said it looks a bit cartoonish crap, I like the whole build mode thing but i don't think there's a create a style thing where you can create a style. lol but yeahif im gonna buy that craap it better have not the suuper loong loading/saving screen cuz for me in the middle of the saving/loading screen sometimes it just ficken crashes and that leaves the game to be unsaved so this betta be worth the dollars

Personally I WANT rabbit holes in The Sims 4. Why you may ask? Because I really don't want to watch my Sims go sit in the theatre and watch a movie, (I don't want to watch someone watch something) Or even worse. watch them in the hospital. but they could do what they did with TS3 Ambitions Expansion Pack, where we control the Sims in INTERESTING jobs like the Fire-fighter and Stylist as such, that was good. Also. PLEASE EA MAKETHE BASE GAME HAIR AND CLOTHING MORE DETAILED!

I really like the sims 3 but what I really hope they improve on for the sims 4 is the rabbit hole locations. I would really like it if I were able to enter the restaurant -for example- with my sim. Having so many rabbit holes makes for a lot of waiting around while my sims are inside. I'm also hoping for more sims on the community lots that my sims can interact with. I feel like the sims 1 and 2 had a lot more sims around town than in sims 3.

Years later and they still haven't delivered.
You know it's bad when flippin' -Wicked Whims- has more depth in character interaction than the original game.
(And for all of y'all who don't know what WW is, know that it's -ahem- for the adults of the world xD)

Even though it's corny and girly at best, I always had a weird fascination for the Sims series. I always buy the base game and at least 3 expansions for each installment since the original Sims. I don't know why, it's fun to watch simulated people go about their business in a dream house or a shit-box. Only downside is, it does get boring quick after the novelty factor wears off. I'll be buying the Sims 4 for sure though!

so much lying on their part in their statement at the beginning of the video. they really were working off the scraps and engine of the failed simcity 2013. they-re using so many buzzwords (SmartSim? give me a break) because they knew they couldn-t fix and keep adding to a broken foundation. but had finished the sims 3 too quickly and hyped up the sims 4 so much that they just released the pile of crap before it was ready.

I hear there won't be any weather, create a style, height sliders, or color wheels in the base game. I was really excited for Sims 4 but now I realized that they hardly showed you the actually gameplay and the fact that all those features like create a style and weather won't be on the base game really upsets me because it'd honestly not make that much of a difference in new gameply features for the Sims 4.
