Speaking of Driver, what's your opinion of Driver San Francisco? It's beginning to turn vintage - slowly but surely. To me, it seems to be a good balance of semi/pseudo real/open-world gameplay. It has a backstory & progression to it, but it is also structured so that there is completely unstructured gameplay between missions. You can progress through the story at your own pace. (or not) The story is pretty clever, and there are so many cars you can drive. Nearly anything you see on the road can be taken over & driven. Also, the gameplay is solid. Compared to new games, it may not be fancy, but you get pretty good & consistent frame rates with moderate hardware.

ive probably already commented on this video but i just have to say why no midtown madness 4? I get there are other franchises like forza and GTA that fill this gap but midtown madness had its own style and the pc version of MM2 still has a strong modding and following community in 2020. But for a kid who's first online gaming experience was a demo of midtown madness on my Pentium 3 and who got an xbox for Christmas just to get MM3 i would buy the shit out of midtown madness 4 and i want it on PC

But seriously, I used to play GTA on my Pentium around 1990. or 2000 (I think) The first one with realistic graphics, open world, and missions. But, I just drove around, crashing into pedestrians, driving on the beach (scaring the beach hippies: -) jumping into the ocean, evading cops, stealing motorcycles, and exploring the whole map, like a crazy bugger with a death wish. Lol: -)

I remember the best strategies to win a lot of the races where you're facing entire AI of Panoz Race Cars was to get the bus or semi-truck and ram them. If they're oncoming they die in one hit letting you win the race at your leisure. An oversight? Probably, but damn did it make it so much more feasible to win the races.

2: 19 It's sort of funny that pretty much every smartphone (this is in 2021, even the cheap $50 ones, could run circles around a computer of that era. Sort of amazing that we can have that sort of technology in our pocket. technology and speed people back in the 80's and 90's could only dream about.

I remember playing the hell out of the demo, which had big transparent walls blocking the rest of the city off. You have no idea how much time I spent either in game, or in the files, trying to disable those walls with my limited knowhow and gain access to the full city in the demo.

A friend burned a copy of that for me. it had a crap load of like. mod vehicles? I think there was a jet plane. half of them would just make the game crash and it wasn't very stable being a burn but i remember just cruising around listening to KoRn on the in game audio player

My dad was the general manager of 93. 1 xrt for over 20 years and was Marty's boss for a long time, hes a great guy, voice is a bit exaggerated here though lmfao but this game was my first ever video game and as a chicagoan I appreciate it and cherish it deeply

The soundtrack to this game is one of my favorites. Such good grooves that really fit with many aspects of the gameplay and really catchy. I still have mp3 rips of this and the original GTA on my harddrive that get pretty regular play. :) Thanks for sharing!

Been addicted to this game before. Could anyone remember the game where one can play as the fly and the other as the farmer who should swat the fly? After the round, roaches place their bids on the items caught by the fly, then u can buy powerups amd traps.
