I know I'm super late, but I figured out what the problem is here with regard to the ending. When you're filling the bottle with the tears from the angel statue, you need to PUT THE CORK IN THE BOTTLE first, and then FILL THE BOTTLE WITH THE TEARS. It's illogical, makes no sense, realistically you should do it in the other order, but if you cork it first, then fill the bottle with tears (assuming you cleaned it already, you can continue to the end and you'll be able to throw the water at the DEVIL and you'll finish the game. This took me way too long to figure out, and it must be a bug, but at least the game CAN be completed.

Cool. Back in the day, people bought expensive computer systems just to play games like this. Not kidding. My first computer in 1992 cost about $3000 with the monitor and printer. actually it was more like $3500 and I had to finance it. Times have really changed guys. Consider yourself lucky when you can buy a PlayStation 4 for under $300. and call of duty World War II comes out in about 14 minutes so I'm signing off. It's a whole lot different than this Elvira game.

Most versions of the game were mastered with a corrupted 72. OUT file. You could get a patched file by mail back in the day. The GOG version has a fixed file.
To be able to complete the game: Change the byte at position 53714(D1D2) from 0x20 to 0x40. Then the devil dies properly: )
EDIT: no that was for a different crash. You need to: -put tears in bottle- all other commands seem to not work and he won't die. You didn't miss much however.

Yeah you have to remove the cork from the bottle and then throw the water on the devil which I guess kinda makes sense, but your reenactment of it seems much more amusing then this game. Seriously I'm all for cryptic problem and puzzle solving, but these type of games just don't age well at all. By the way I do plan to do a let's play of this game sometime, hopefully I won't be pulling my hair out everytime I die.

Oh my god, I may have figured it out. Tell me, I don't know if the Amiga version makes you do this, but did you try filling the bottle with holy water multiple times? I thought it was just a one and done thing, but no. You can keep filling the bottle until it told me I couldn't any more. I do not miss that about old adventure games.

While I often like the look of older 16-color games, I've never been a huge fan of the default EGA palette. Which is all most people used, so it might as well be called the official EGA palette. It doesn't even have a decent flesh color. One exists in the EGA spec, but virtually nobody used it.

Nice video. Back in the 80sI owned a few Amiga computers. Honestly Amigas blew away ibm, apple and everything else. I used to edit videos and 3d graphics on the Amiga. Sad that they went out of business bc of Amiga they inspired other computer manufactures to create multimedia computers. -

Six days ago? How did I miss this? It's nice to see you covering this game. Hopefully, you'll have a more enjoyable time with Horrorsoft's other titles.
There are some people who made video walkthroughs of this game that got confused by the end. I'll be sure to let them know it's a bug.

Ah, Horror Soft. one of the biggest causes of nightmares when I was 11 or 12. I had numerous dreams relating to Waxworks, one of their other games. I couldn't sleep most nights because of how I remembered Waxworks's graphics. Those death scenes scared the living hell out of me.

Yeah, the 5 yrs in the late 80s/early 90s AMIGA users could laugh at PC users. Was over rather quick. But don't get me wrong, the AMIGA was great. Sometimes I wish Commodore made better Buisness decisions and the AMIGA would be the Gaming machine still to this Day.
