Scary Moments From It That Didn't Make It From Book To Screen
video description
The book version of the scene is much more subtle and scary. Bill first sees a picture of Georgie moving and bleeding, then asks Richie to look at the picture with him to confirm whether it was real or not, but instead of Georgie's pic they now see a pic of a feasty parade in Derry from early 1900 with Pennywise and even themselves in it. The picture starts moving again, and when Bill happens to touch it, he cuts his fingers, causing himself scars that will disappear and suddendly reappear 27 years later, after Mike's call, much to Bill's wife worry. So it's them transferred in Pennywise's world instead of the opposite.

I still don't understand why people think the movie is scary. it had literally no suspense. It was so predictable and they cut away from the few death scenes they did have except in the very start of the movie. I thought oh shit here we go. a killer clown actually killed a kid dang you don't see that now days. I expected more. things sorta just happened from scene to scene when they could have gone further. I mean it was a Rated R movie with swearing basically, I hope chapter 2 goes further with scenes that call for people begging for their life or even pennywise terrorizing people more then just appearing in a bush ect. It was creepy though and well written I can give them that.

It was rated R so I honestly dont see why they cut the violent parts from the book. They didnt have to add everything, but at least there should of been one in your face violent death to make it real that IT is a threat. Eddie Corcoran more than Patricks death would of been perfect and really terrifying. A lot of tv shows and pg 13 movies had more balls than this one.

I'm not familiar with the book, but in general certain things don't convert well. The first point here is a perfect example. Why would a 12 year old kid want a ballon from a stranger/clown? What 12 year old kid would believe a balloon could make him float? Books can get away with multitudes of logical fallacies that can't be pulled off in a movie format.

Ben's 1st pennywise appearance was only part I found particular freaky in the new one. The other parts in the movie didn't really scare or freak me out. The CGI effects just doesn't do it for me. The old one was creepier to me. You think i been more creeped out with the 2017 one, considering it wasn't just a tv mini series and it was rated R. just odd.

And to think just the other day Stephen King said Trump was sick to post a gif showing a fake golf ball hit the back of Hillary. The same guy who wrote IT, which included the loser club pulling a train on Beverly, because it helped seal the bond from childhood to adulthood, right.

The mummy actually was in the movie. The thing that wraps its bandages around Bens face was the mummy. It wasnt the leper. You can even see the leper later in that scene and see that it is different than the monster that wrapped bandages around Bens face.

i think not put werewolf in is a great choice. its hard to make werewolf scary again after so many bestiality romance fictions. but over all the movie for me is not scary at all but a great emotional movie about facing fear and friendship.
