The fact is that she just got old. Her appeal was largely her looks, but now her looks are essentially gone. There are younger and prettier actresses with acting talent to take Cameron's place. No one wants to see old middle aged women in romantic comedy movies. She knew she needed to have children soon, or else it would have become totally impossible, due to biological realities. Cameron has a lot of money, so she was able to find some guy to be with her and have her children. If she were just some non-celeb person who wasn't rich at her age (46) and was still childless, then she would have been finished and would have become just another cat lady who was taking up space and who failed in life.

I must say, I seriously do really miss Cameron Diaz on movies, like she is legitimately a good actress, can carry on a role with her charisma and personality, and always brings a smile, its just sad that she had to take that retirement, who could blame her, those three movies she was in back in 2014 were disasters (even though I liked The Other Woman, so it's understandable why she would just want to back away from the whole thing, and probably for the best if you look at the current state of the industry nowadays; I think that if she does come back it should be for a role that can be on the level on her performance, and that way putting her once again on the map

i had a dream about cameron diaz last week (and yes, there was a morning panhandle involved, if you must know. the astral plane is a mystery to the best of them, but i find that it's quite often inhabited by famous faces as well as regular ones and often famous people i never even think about in real life. the dreams are in colour ( i read somewhere that most folks are in black and white) and sometimes it's as realistic as real life. maybe it's all just a strange dream

What you described as her roles being the same - is equivalent to saying a man who was single did this, a man meets and marries that, a man who was a teacher does xyz--- your examples made no sense to your point which you're basically saying as a female her roles are the same because she casts as a female who does xyz in a role. How is that different from any other woman and any other man playing any role?

These days, everybody forgot how BIG Cameron was from 1997 to 2010 in her prime, plus she was competing against the likes of Julia & Angelina at the time. So the truth that she was making box office history throughout the 2000s was HUGE. She had to work very hard to be one of Tinsletown's top actresses & it really paid off during her prime.

Because she retired with 140m in the bank as the age of 47, who wouldn't want that? why would you want to keep working for toxic hollywood who haven't had a good idea for a movie for years and just make woke remakes and reboots. There are actors who dont need to be in the lime light 24/7 and cling to fame at all costs you know.

Can we talk about all of her flops they seem like flops compared to her really big movies but even her flops do way better than most movies nowadays and i love all of them. Like how much did Bad teacher make and he brought that up quite a bit as a flop. I think maybe she just wants to chill

Sandra Bullock was gone for a while too back in the day but she came back with a bang and still doing well.
Cameron needs to let her name rest and well. lets face it, she didn't really age gracefully like her constars, especially judging by her massive wrinkles around the eyes
