The Untold Truth Of Captain America ZombieTex: There's a HUGE character evolution bomb waiting to go off on Captain America. Something many people either don't know or don't think about regarding his power set is that the super soldier serum didn't just make Steve faster and stronger. It also enhanced his brain to the point that it's essentially an organic supercomputer. He has a photographic memory and the ability to think hundreds of times faster than a normal human. This is the secret to why his shield always returns to him after he throws it. In the moment he throws his shield, he performs dozens of complex calculations to determine how to throw it (angle, spin, speed, etc) to get it to bounce off of everything in the room (including moving objects) and return to his hand at the end.
So, how does this make a character evolution bomb? Well, with Steve's brainpower, he could literally walk into a physics library and learn EVERYTHING in an afternoon if he wanted to. Give him a week to study all the latest trends in science and engineering and he would have Tony Stark level skills. Give him two weeks and access to a few advanced alien artifacts (which he DOES have access to) and he'll be the galaxy's most advanced engineer.
ALSO, as we learn from reading Dr. Strange, magic isn't necessarily an in-born ability. It can be LEARNED as a skill. Give Steve access to the Sanctum Sanctorum and a couple of weeks studying under Dr. Strange, and Steve will be the new Sorcerer Supreme!
Now we're talking about a person with Super Soldier stats with gear BEYOND Stark Tech and wielding BEYOND Dr. Strange levels of magical power. He would be the good-guy equivalent of Dr. Doom, but so much more powerful than Doom that Doom would look like a lad playing with his first magic trick kit. He would be a Universal Threat level character on par with the Celestials and the Cosmic Beings.

1) Although Cap did leave (and eventually return / 'Once an Avenger, always an Avenger') and Panther was an Avenger (in the early days, saying Black Panther was the only viable replacement is crap, when creators can create new heroes as they please. Panther is a secondary character, and well known, but as King of Wakanda, he did not stick around for long, making appearances from time to time. 2) Marvel MCU movies have built up Panther into far more than he ever was in comics before they came out. A) He was always a great fighter, nearly Cap's equal, but he does not have super strength. B) His costume never used to have claws. C) His costume was strictly cloth, often torn in combat. not armor in the least. .I'm not against them building him up to make that Politically Correct dollar, but it does irk me that some people think he can take on Cap or Iron Man, which is a joke. with the exception that writers write who wins when stories call for it, part of the BS of comics. I mean, if Hulk goes on an urban rampage, and Spider-Man is the only one around. and it's Spidey's comic. who do you think is somehow gonna win?

Theres another of the Captains. While Marvel in comic history says that Cap was frozen before the end of the war and thawed by the Avengers in the 60's (or wheever 10 years before the comic is published. In the real world Timely ran Captain America comics until they shut down and became Marvel, well past the end of the war and into the 50's. In this time they just changed the bad guys from Nazi's to communists and didnt sell well (partly due to bad writing, partly due to Cap being a wartime thing. Marvel fixed this by saying the government never told anyone Cap had died as they thought it would be too big a blow to moral and had put another guy (and another bucky) out there to make headlines and then create anti communist propeganda.
Also while not strictly a Cap there are the other test subjects including the African American soldier they tested the serum on before risking giving it to a white guy

Did anyone else notice that Steve's heart is the same but he is just stronger you can tell when he was fighting that bully in Captain America: The First Avenger the bully said you just don't know when to give up Steve said while taking fast deep breaths I can do this all day. Then in Captain America: Cival War the same thing happened but with Tony stark, Tony said Stay down last warning( not the same meaning as the bully but that's not my point) then Steve gets up take fast deep breaths and says I can do this all day. This shows that before he got strong his heart was strong and when he did get strong his heart was still strong aswell maybe even stronger that is what the professor saw in him in the boot camp place. It's alot to read but I never saw any video or statement talking about how strong his heart and will is

It would be extremely difficult to make an unironic hyper-patriotic American character and present him as a paragon of virtue and heroism and be taken seriously today. Captain America pulls it off, though, because he has the weight of history on his side (in more ways than one. It helps that his patriotism has been tested and modified into his famous motto, I am loyal to nothing. except the [American] Dream. Another point is that Captain America is not loyal to the American government; his patriotism isn't My Country, Right or Wrong. If America decided to sponsor an anti-democratic coup somewhere, he'd not help (and might hinder) its efforts, because democracy is considered an American value.

It doesn't sound that surprising that Steve Rodgers/Captain America has had a long interesting history in the Marvel Universe not just as the first Avenger but as a serious matter do deal with as an enemy and Allie to the super fighting patriots. Just like Superman in the DC Universe, Cap has always been there for battling the evil through his best and bad times from his time in World War II, The Avengers first few issues, the Civil War storylines, and to stop being manipulated by the Red Skull into joining Hydra no matter what Captain America is a big Marvel icon.

Steve Rodgers isn't great because he's Captain America. Captain America is great because he's Steve Rodgers.
He's a leader with an unwavering and unfailing moral compass as well as a symbol for what's good and fair. His loyalty and integrity are rivaled by none. and refuses to give up no matter what and always puts others first before himself. This is the true strength of Cap. His unbreakable character an analogy for his unbreakable sheild and his strong will. He's a man who lives by a code.
This is why he's my favorite. he's what I strive to be as a man.

I'm Captain America I could never got laid
so I took injections to look this way.
When I finally got asked to go date
I was so scared I caused my own fate.
From my icy grave I'm brought back out
why did you leave that man behind they should shout.
The group is diverse it led me astray
then newbie Spiderman took my shield away.
I'm Capitan America I'm just so plain
so Thanos decided to squish up my brain.

Ive looked up to Captain America. Not Chris Evans. Remember why? Chris Evans has never been forgiven for his acting on the original Fantastic Four Movies. Both Fantastic Four & Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. So, Im glad Chris Evans will be leaving an incredibly large but awesome Marvel Universe. Falcon has got to take the mantle now. After an extremely hard infinity war, someones got to retire.

The boy scout hero in general is virtually extinct except when used as a joke aside from Captain America, Superman, and Captain Marvel/Shazam, to the point where every hero is so messed up and their motivations so personal and complicated that the idea of heroes who are heroes just because they're decent people who don't want to waste their great power has become unique and thought-provoking in-universe.
