What The Biggest Comic Fans Don't Know About Spawn Pulsar: OOPS, THERE'S AN ERROR IN YOUR VIDEO and it's a doozy!
DC's BATMAN\SPAWN: war Devil came out WEEKS (if not months) before SPAWN\BATMAN! I remember waiting to see if McFarlane and Miller would top DC's efforts and they did, but it was way after the fact, prompting angry retailers and fans alike to complain that Image's latest of late books up to that point, had depressed sales for what could have been a major hit! Instead, after its eventual release, copies sat on the shelves for months as the enthusiasm for it was long gone. This was a major scandal in the business and much was written about it!

Didnt meteorman predate the spawn and steel movies by a few years though? Still significant. PLus Spawns powers were supposedly depletable after too many uses, which was a theme used for the first few dozen or more comics originally, but that theme fell by the wayside. the movie was okay, plus I loved that John Leguizamo played Clown. Soo cool. The comic just lost its head and began to spiral out of control. Too many pointless plot paths, not sticking to a definitive narrative, and just dub shit eventually. Plus jamie fozxx as spawn in the new film? lol NOPE!

One very big note was Spawn saved comics in the 90s. There's a popular myth that 90s Comics were trash or people thought that they were in decline. Most of this was true for Marvel and DC; However, Spawn, Image, and a lot of other independent publishers did much better. With record sales, a huge toy franchise and merch selling off the shelves like hotcakes, Image literally made comics lucrative and had big sales. So next time someone tells you, comics were dead in the 90s, just say only for DC and Marvel.

I dont know why the movie gets so bad ratings I loved it! I also noticed that they sold two copies of that film there was a PG13 and a rated R when it came out in cassette tape, I got both of them lol in the PG13 they dont show Al break the guys neck at the beginning in the rated R they do show it, no skipping there lol, and basically thats the only difference so I believe thats why they sold more of the PG13 one.

Excellent video, although it missed out on mentioning anything about BBC America's Sam & Twitch TV series. Dealing with the two cop policemen from the Spawn comics having their own police procedural type show. Where they deal with alot of the supernatural elements and carnage fallouts from Spawn's battles against the forces of evil in the city. Pilot script said to be written by; Kevin Smith.

As someone that followed MacFarlane and his drawing of Spawn. I am a fan loved the comics even enjoyed the movie when I seen it in theaters. But knowing a new movie is coming out, I am on the fence with it. Just hope it's a decent movie. Spawn and Pitt was two of my favorite comics I collected. An a few others back when Image Comics were going strong.

Yes he does have a lot of powers but every time he uses it he loses NecroPlasma, 9: 9: 9: 9. every ability he uses ticks down hes time to remain untouched by malebolgia.
I like spawn and i remember the superness game it use to give me the chills that music.

I think he doesnt want to make it a superhero film because he see how hard it is to compete with Marvel right now. Smart decision to take the ball in a new direction. As long as he doesnt overdo it and give Spawn like two or three short scenes. THAT WILL SUCK FRFR!

Spawn is, to me, an anomaly. Undead man from hell with flowing weapoinzed cape, chains, spikes, glowing green aura, the works. He's somehow as compilation of everything crap about the Dark Age of comics, but, all done somehow right, and making a great comic.
