The Absolute Best And Worst Harry Potter Films Ever Made Amusement: So let's get a few things straight.
Firstly, Fantastic Beasts is NOT a Harry Potter film. It is a Wizarding World film. It's not a spiritual prequel and its connections to HP are stretched so thinly that it should not be included in a HP film ranking list.
Secondly, how can you list Order of the Phoenix, Half Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows: Part 1 above Goblet of Fire? Order deterred so far away from the source material that it barely made any sense. The only saving grace was Imelda Staunton who was delicious as Umbridge. Prince focussed far too much on the Ron/Hermione/Lavender love triangle and the awkward romance between Harry and Ginny subplot and less on the introduction to Horcruxes which was a poor creative choice and Deathly Hallows: Part 1 was just filler. Goblet on the other hand was not only the most cinematically pleasing Potter film (alongside Prisoner) but it also stuck closely to the novel and included almost all of the relevant plot points that needed to be included. What about the Quidditch World Cup? The 3 Triwizard challenges? The Yule Ball? Harry's confrontation with Barty Crouch JR? There was so much to like about Goblet of Fire.
This list is pretty odd.

Cutting Deathly Hallows Pt 1 to half an hour would absolutely not work. All these little moments you guys mentioned, where not much happens are extremely important for character development and making it more real. It would be pretty boring if it was just half an hour of Harry, Ron and Hermione disapparating and apparating and running through the entire UK. You don't want your story to be a montage of random action scenes. In my opinion DH Pt 1 is one of the best installments in the series (in my personal ranking, it's second behind PoA. And that's because, despite all the magic and stuff it feels relatable, because the characters and their relationships seem extremely real. That is probably mainly due to them having worked together for the past 9 years and that they've actually become friends but also with how the movie portrays their journey. It shows a lot more character for Ron, like how much his family means to him. It fleshes out all their relationships, especially Harry and Hermiones and so on

In my opinion, the worst MOVIE, not book, was Half-Blood Prince. You see, the first two films were much happier and kid friendly, and I admit, the Philosophers Stone gets boring after repetitive viewing, but I loved Chamber of Secrets. The third film is definitely my favourite because it acts as a middle ground of the kid friendly parts and when the series gets darker. Also, it acts as a middle ground of Harrys life, because he becomes a teenager and isnt a child anymore like in the first two, but he hasnt started thinking about girls until the fourth installation. Pretty much, the series shifts to its darker theme and setting once Cedric is killed. And, you see, I know Half-Blood Prince wasnt the happiest book, but I feel that the movie was just soooo depressing with all the colourless scenes. But, I did like the book of it, and I admit, when I was around eight when I read Half-Blood Prince for the first time, the part with the Inferi in the cave really scared me.

In criticizing the first movie for it's Disney atmosphere, you forget that it was the same in books. The franchise started as an enchanting Disney fairy tale with a lot of sparkles and magic tricks and a villain who is defeated by a touch spiked with a power of love. No one dies in a movie, despite Voldemort being right there.
It was only later when Rowling toned down the magic and colors, turning her books into a gritty young-adult thrillers.
And you know what? I liked the first books and the first movies better. It started like something unique and fun. It ended in a poorly written attempt at drama and to take itself seriously.

The worst analysis ever. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the worst movie from the franchise. Considering COS as the worst movie is laughable. Go and read the novels before judging the films. First movie has been the best and Deathly Hallows 1 has been the closest thing to the novels.
My order which is the correct one to supercede yours from best to worst
1. Sorcerer's Stone
2. Chamber of Secrets
3. Deathly Hallows-1
4. Prisoner of Azkaban
5. Order of the Phoenix
6. Deathly Hallows-2
7. Goblet of Fire
8. Half-Blood Prince

5. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
6. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
7. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
8. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
This is just my opinion I REALLY don't care if you judge me

This list is horrendous 4 and 5 should be tied at the bottom for the shear amount of things that were cut from the books destroying the whole pacing of the story both movies should have been two parters i will agree that three is by far the best book to film adaptation but one and two are not far behind the ending of seven part two is disgusting bc Voldemort dies as a man and harry returns the wand to its rightful place after repairing his own obviously this list does not take into account the books much

I feel like more credit needs to be given to Philosophers Stone. It's meant to feel like a cherry Disney movie mostly. It's meant to make us love the world and feel all nice and cosy in it, it's a necessary contrast to what comes later. Lets also not forget the fantastical music by John Williams, who carved in stone the key themes. Philosophers Stone also had the best moment that said everything about Harry's longing for family: The Mirror of Erised scene (which still makes me emotional.

There are no bad movies.
You are criticizing the early movies for being too childfriendly. WHAT! You do realise that most of the generation that fell in love with these movies weren't older than 10 when the first movie came out. Hell, I was 1. 5 years old and wouldn't get introduced to the movies until I was 3 years old or something. My generation grew up with these movies, that's why these movies are so special to begin with, as we grew older, the tone matured as well.

My least favorite of the series is Deathly Hallows part 1. Not much really happened and theres hardly any music. In the beginning Harry, Ron, and Hermione to start their journey and all the stuff that happens is pretty cool. But when they finally go to the woods, all they do is just walk, and talk, and more walking, AND MORE TALKING! The story of the three brothers was pretty creative, and I like that Dobby returns. Other than that, its boring.
