She needs him to purge her uncontrollable production of light. Without Cloak, she becomes saturated with light, feverish and delirious. like an addict.
Cloak cools the fires that burn within her.
ALL of this was in a Marvel Fanfare graphic novel from the 80s.
Cloak seemed to understand this from the start, but dagger had to learn the hard way. that they both linked to each other. and their childhood is gone. another great metaphor for the affects of addiction on users and their families.
This video leaves out that MAJOR plot point. It's yet another bitter sweet part of the story that makes Cloak and Dagger soooo good.
Doesn't look like we'll get any of this in this cotton candy TV show Disney created. maybe someday. when the story is remade. it took YEARS to get batman right. they'll make money either way. story be damned.

I HATE the black = hunger/darkness - white = sustaining light angle. Would be FAR more interesting the other way round.
I HATE the relationship angle. Love stories are often tedious and theres absolutely no need to jam opposites together in every story.
WHEN will there be different stories, without the same boring tropes? This is a miss for me.

Wow people are able to see racism everywhere nowaday. You know guys that something appears black when it absorbs all light instead of reflecting? So in a way, aren't black object made of more light than others? Or maybe science is racist too. i dunno. Maybe my youtube is racist cause the background is white. Oh shit

The characters have an interesting potential and the powers while complicated are somehow useful, I hope that this series will not end up like the Inhumans or Iron Fist, their role on the Ultimate Spiderman cartoon was somehow stretched up, I hope this series will provide them a proper motivation.

Good video of a pair I remember from their beginnings but never got too deep into. I had to laugh at myself at the end because I was so caught up in the differences between Marvel's Despair and DC's Despair of The Endless, that I didn't notice the Skeletor resemblance!

The only reason they distanced them from being mutants is because Marvel was upset Fox had the X-Men. And the only reason they were said to have mutant adventures is because the X-Men were popular at the time. Basically they're mutants of convenience.

Awesome video they seem really interesting ever since I saw them in 2009 ultimate alliance 2 I was intrigued never thought they would have a tv show. I really hope it does well

Aww, I remember reading ROM Spaceknight and especially the Micronauts comic books back in the day. I especially enjoyed the world of the Micronauts. I was sad when that series ended.
