GOTG 3 May Be Replaced By A Surprise MCU Movie
video description
Now, since they have come forward and said no way, no how are they going to bring back Gunn, I think the best choice is to put GOTG to the side for now. The actors all voiced their support for him and there's no way of moving forward and still making it a good movie at this point.
Dr. Strange 2 was inevitable anyway. The first one was a success and we all know in the movie world that success means sequels, especially in the MCU. There are a lot of avenues yet to be crossed with his character, as well as his interactions with the rest of the Avengers. Considering everything happening surrounding Guardians, I would be very apprehensive about a third movie at this stage. DS2 though, bring it on!

Well this might still ruin the marvel universe.
People still want to see the GOTG3 made bij James Gunn and this might lead to fans protesting against other marvel movies.
This also means they may need to replace or forget Drax since the actor has said he won't play Drax unless they use James script.
Disney did the one thing that WB does all the time with the DC heroes and that is getting involved in the movie making process. Look at how great the DC movies are and if Disney continues doing this you know how great the MCU movies might become.

I honestly think they should've kept Gunn for at least guardians 3. was he kind of a scumbag? yeh. but have people ever really cared about that when it comes to making films? even if the man behind the product isn't really a good person, it doesn't change the fact that the product is still of high quality. I only care about the quality of the art, not the artist. and he made 2 excellent films. the only other person that I could think of for the job is Taika Waititi. I really hope they don't cancel it, it's a great trilogy that needs a closure.

Batista have already stated that he will not be part of a GOTG3 if James doesnt get justice. I for one am on Dave's decision and applaud him for taking stance on this absurd cut of Gunn by disney executives. If they made the move without him as a director, there's a good chance it will flop like movies from the DCEU - we've seen first hand what happens when you dont have the right director for a movie.

I loved GOTG1 and GOTG2 to a lesser degree. I was hoping for change with the 3rd installment. Doesn't matter to me if there isn't another GOTG with ALL of the current crew. MCU will have so many characters with the Fox acquisition, I'm not gonna worry about something that's already been done ( twice) not being in the line up. It's not like GOTG ended on a cliffhanger.

Disney really screwed up. Gunn wasn't being called a pedo by millions of people until now. The tweet is several years old and no good could come from it. If Disney didn't reveal it, gotg 3 wouldn't be affected and Bautista wouldn't threaten to leave. If I tweet that I'm a billionaire that means it's true because I tweeted it and that's the proof

If they won't let him direct, they could acquire Gunn as a consultant. It's probably the closest thing to a compromise they could do, fans get Gunn back and Disney still keeps it's decision to fire him, just relegating him to a position he can still have influence, just not the glory. Everyone wins and we still get a good GOTG3.

I hope this is true that way almost every origin movie in the MCU can have its sequel too. I don't even care about the Guardians anymore, the last movie left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't even think the MCU needs the Guardians at all now that Disney will hopefully get the rights to the X-Men and the Fantastic Four.

I love the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and would be sad if they canceled Vol. 3 MCU lost the only good director they have now after Avengers 4 no's it's gonna be pointless sequels starting with Spider-Man Far From Home and Dr. Strange 2 both first movies were shit why make a sequel

There is no reason to think 3rd guardians won't happen. All what's likely happening is it gets bump from its original 2020 date. And either ends up airing late 2020 or moved to 2021. It's no different then any other director shuffles marvel have had in past.
