Scooby Doo: The film could not decide if it wanted to be a kiddie film or a more adult sendup of the classic cartoon. They ultimately went the kiddie route, although a few more adult elements made it to the final film. However, one of the deleted scenes that was cut would have tremendously helped the film, as it was the intense scene where Daphne becomes possessed by a monster. It really helped to provide some additional clarification to the plot (as the theatrical version was confusing.
Major League: Not so much a deleted scene as an alternate ending, this is a well-known scene in which the new owner of the team reveals to the general manager that she portrayed herself as wanting to move the team and get rid of the talent as nothing more than a plot to motivate them to win. In fact, the team was severely in debt, which limited the amount of money they could spend on talent and amenities. However, a test screening revealed that the audience preferred her as the villain and thus they took the scene out.

Maze Runner: Scorch Trials has 3 beautiful scenes that were deleted.
The food fight which showcases the 8 survivors eating descent food for the first time. It showcases how close they are and has some of the funniest moments of the movie in it.
Unlike Tim and Billy, Jacks death was very close to ending up in the movie. The scene was included in the trailers and had a lot of work into it. Sadly test audiences were confused with who Jack was and didnt notice him. But almost every viewer would notice that Jack suddenly dissappears halfway through an action scene with no explanation.
Then theres the scene were the group mourns Jack & Winstons deaths. Thomas blames himself but Newt gives him a wonderful pep talk that allows Thomas to gain enough confidence and pick himself up again. Its not only a call back to when Thomas and Newt first met but also the casts favorite deleted scene. And with good reason as it showed a beautiful moment between the two friends.

the captain america scene, out of all of them, would transported that movie from a comic movie to a serious movie like a schindlers list or shaw shank redemption. it was done well, shot well, shows how normal a guy the stoic leader could be.
the hannibal lecter scene, its good that as it was, it was left out. u begin to emphsize too much with both of them. if we could emphasize with buffalo alone, as to pitty him, then ok. as a narrated monologue, overlayed on some other shots of buffalo, coudl have been done. then the scene ends showing hannibal final sentence to clarice, but no tears, cause hannibal would not display that emotion in that way. but instead look away/down to his cell, and exhale to tie the assessment back to him, in acceptance of his confinement.

Yo dude no offense but you really dropped the ball on this one. The deleted scene from Star Wars Episode 6: Return of the Jedi is one of the most controversial deleted scenes of all time. Im talking about the closing scene that was deleted because they thought it would be too dark and conflicting: Luke walking off into the sunset by himself, dressed all in black and heavily implying a conflict within himself with the dark side, his father and a burden he never asked for - reinstating the Jedi order.
I feel like this clip greatly deserved to be on this list.

undergrown layer. Listed on the DVD's deleted scenes
named fire and ice, Supes walks through a barrage
of machine gun bullets, an inferno, and an ice assault
which momentarily turns him into a super popsicle.
I remember first seeing this lost scene on DVD for the
first time, showcasing Superman's invulnerability to
the very max. I can't imagine how this was left off
this top 9 list. Truly a gem.

Another Looper vid talking about amazing scenes, without actually showing said amazing scenes. What is wrong with you people? Enough with the minuscule snippets, show the whole thing - it's protected under fair use, for crying out loud.
. oh and, personally, I believe the schoolyard sniper scene in Lethal Weapon is important to the plot. It establishes, right off the bat and without comedic undertones like his bust on the drug dealers, that he is suicidal and genuinely doesn't care if he lives or dies.

Thanos doesn't love any of his children. He didn't _love_ Gamora as a person, he loved having a living weapon which he could control emotionally.
There is no _real_ love or affection in an abusive relationship. There is only manipulation and control leading to domination and ownership. There is no love for the person, only for what the persons presence brings (eg. convenience, influence, opportunities, amusement.

that spider man 2 scene with j jonah jameson. i dont think that was entirely a deleted scene. it was deleted on the theatrical release. but they remade the movie of a very rare release called spiderman 2. 1 which had had like 20 or so minutes of never before seen footage. if i remember correctly that seen was added on the 2. 1 edition. PS- its extremely rare edition. took me like 10 years to find a copy

The end of The Goonies was supposed to have a big fight with a giant squid. only drawings of the scene remain, and the scene was never shot, but there's still dialog in the end hinting at its plausible existence when Data talks about it and everyone just assumes he'; s just exaggerating as usual. nope, that scene he describes was originally intended.

The amazing Spiderman 2 deleted scene where Peter and his father reunite. It would have made the movie much better. The transition from Gwen's death to being Spiderman again more natural since his father can help Peter cope since his father has felt the same thing (Peters mom died in the plane crash. Giving Peters return as Spiderman feel less forced
