You just don't get it. This is legal DISCLOSURE, this is actually what is happening, humans are being held down on purpose by secret societies and the elite. I didn't love the film or hate it, but more admired it - I think! For me it lacked a lot of the suspense and mystery of Unbreakable and Split and just seemed to be going through the motions in a lot of ways. There were quite a lot of things in the film that didn't make sense on initial viewing, but make more sense once you know what the doctor was up to, eg - why did she have a session with all 3 protagonists together - but i'm still at a loss to know why David was chained up, but not the beast. But of course it's not a documentary. The ending was ok I guess, but I think the trilogy deserved a better ending than that.

So here is my ending considering this movie is set in the real world
Mr. Glass shows the whole world superhumans exists
Everyone: Oh cool, someone leaked videos about some new superhero movie!
Controlled Media: So this is the new superhero movie Hollywood been working on.
Conspirationists: No, it's real! It's real and they are trying to hide this from us don't believe the media!
Everyone: Yeah. ok. it is definetely a superhero movie if those guys are telling it's real
Hollywood films a superhero movie based on the leaked footage to cover the truth

I dont think the bad ending was a mistake. Hear me out here, this trilogy was brilliant but ended with the deaths of the 3 superheros so simply. But maybe it wasnt as simple as we think. At first I hated it, but the more I think about it, maybe M night shyamalan wanted us to look deeper than the ending. What if hes actually telling us there are secret societies working to hold us down and under their control so we dont realize our true potential? Idk, fun to think about lol. I do hope he continues with this universe.

This should have been a part 4. They could have made the best 4 movie ever made. I liked the first half. But the las half i was just waiting for the ultimate showdown. But the payoff is just meh. and the dr elly lady could have been better casted. Like they could have used someone better. And whats with killing them all off at the end? Why not leave something, a cliffhanger. Nothing but a really plain ending. I dont want to see a prequal. That would ruin it. I wanna see a remake in 20 years though.

To be honest, it would be a great ending if they showed you that Mister Glass got a secret power and it is about making the people who got killed back to life and when he revives someone from death so one of his bones got fixing.
So the ending would be like David and Kevin back to the life and the people along with Kevin dad that they got killed by Mister Glass has back to the life by Mr Glass himself and he got his body back and after he revived many people.

I havent watched Unbreakable because I cant find it cheap anywhere but I just finished watching Split and Glass over two days and I throughly enjoyed it. James McAvoy was absolutely amazing and it honestly felt like he was a completely different actor whenever he switched. Though split, I thought, was funnier than Glass they bother carried such an amazing story line with amazing actors.
Also, Hedwig and Jade are just wee cuties we need to protect

M. Night Shyamalan is the main problem of this film. It could have been REALLY good, and some parts were. But his obsession with trying to make every scene dramatic made the whole thing drawn out. Furthermore, it feels like he was trying to make it something that it simply wasn't. Like he was trying to subvert the superhero genre, but fail to do so. Should have just steered into the skid instead of trying to fight it.
