I think they could introduce Spider-Man and still have him be intertwined with Venom. They could have Peter Parker show up and Eddie get jealous of all the publicity he gets with his photos of Spider-Man. Then something could happen that causes Venom to become separated from Eddie and bond with Peter with Venom enjoying being with Spider-Man over Eddie. After awhile Peter could realize the harm Venom is causing him and forcibly get rid of him causing Venom to go back to Eddie. That way it could explain Venom having powers similar to Spider-Man and his and Eddie's hatred for him without retconning the previous Venom film.

Wouldn't it be kind of interesting if in the sequel its revealed Eddie was the one who put cletus in prison? I mean there was the line where Dan said he took down a lot of bad people or something to that effect, I dont remember word for word.
Also would explain why out of all the reporters cletus decides to pick him. And it could also be a reason for carnages origin. Cletus breaks out of prison and tries to kill Eddie in revenge, who then of course kicks his ass as venom while accidentally giving him the baby symbiote like he did in the comics.

That original Maximum Carnage story was so sick, what if they brought in all those other characters! They already have Iron Fist from Netflix, Deathlok from Agents of S. H. I. E. L. D, Captain America from the MCU, (two different) Reed Richards from separate movies to choose from, & even Cloak & Dagger from FreeForm. Plus I think I saw a Morbius movie rumor somewhere, all they need is a Firestar! Yeah I know I'm reaching but just imagine how sweet that would be.

I liked Venom. But what I didnt like was the constant shyness of showing violence. The PG rating really restricts the level entertainment they could provide.
If they would just be ballsy enough to let a villain truly be the monster with the upmost violence and not try to convert that character to some friendly/relatable shit that would be great. The only one who has got the tone on point was Deadpool.

i have a small theory, about the end credit scene venom when he meet's future carnage. what if venom reproduced while at the prison. And didn't tell eddie because venom was weak, that could be why he was looking at the floor. carnage could have been born then, it's also happened in the comics. minus eddie being in prison.

The worst part about Venom movie was it didn't show him eating anyone and just knowing that the second installment is not going to be rated R makes it that much harder to look forward to how can you bring Carnage in and not show him eating anyone this movie is already going to be crap

If they're worried about losing audiences the easiest way to gain an audience would be to add 5 minutes of screen time to an uncut version.
I wasn't too impressed with venom due to the lack of screen time and cuts they did Tom Hardy is the only reason I enjoyed any of it

Tom-Hs' screen sharing is very unlikely to happen without they blowing the timeline. spiderman still at school and too young to meet JJJ and oscorp yet. but in venom, JJJ's son is already an astronaut working for life foundation, an oscorp's competitor. it's not that easy

The only thing I care for is, that we FINALLY get a R-rating for this movie if it has Carnage in it and I would love to see more bromance-moments between Eddie and Venom. Oh and the most important thing for me personally: I DON'T want spiderman in this movie! Leave him out!
