Hey lets go back to Ragnarok and return hulk and thor to their glory. Then when hulk snapped to bring everyone back banner and hulk are separated and both get to speak to black widow in that weird reality which pisses hulk off and turns him into world breaker hulk and hands thanos an ass whoopin. Thanos some how uses the mind and soul stone to revert them to banner going to kill him but is interrupted. Oh and why didnt Tony use time travel to possibly get his Ultron plan back on track? It would have been more tony stark if he some how got a message to himself to fix Ultron or Vision and created an army to protect the earth. This army would also help them defeat thanos army. Tony would have no idea that Thanos from the past was coming but his gut instinct to revitalize the plan would save them proofing him right and cap wrong!

Hawkeye dying wouldn't have had the same impact? Debatable. Hawkeye is (was, by the critical moment) a parent, and to give his life for a chance to bring his family back (and keep his friend alive) would be a very significant sacrifice. Black Widow giving her life to give Hawkeye his family back (and keep her friend alive) is also, but it's hard to argue with a parental sacrifice. More likely it was the feminist segment of Hollywood arguing that the sacrifice shouldn't be taken from Widow, even in a movie where in the epic final battle on huge field and despite all odds, all eight ) female superheroes just so happened to be in the same place to provide an all female escort for Captain Marvel's van run, so it's not like that crowd was lacking for moments in the film.

Natasha Romanoff and Phil Coulson are two of my favourite characters in the MCU and mostly because of their intense loyalty and deference to Nick Fury (who is secretly a Wakandan: ) and Nick's unwavering dedication to protecting the earth while being fully outgunned on the team and in the galaxy. The introduction of Captain Marvel shows that Nick is lower down on the totem pole and that the struggle is cosmic and inter-galactic and political. The evolution of this phase has an arc that shows how out of touch Tony Stark was and how in touch he became as did Steven Strange, Bruce Banner, and so on. Steve Rogers was always in touch with a greater moral world view even if he did not have a detail picture. :)

i would have rather seen hawkeye die. i think his character has been pretty pointless in all of the marvel movies, and i'm not fond of him as an actor or person. his story being done would have made me happy, especially since i'd like to see more of black widow. that being said, i dont think it would have worked the other way around. natasha is always the one doing whatever it takes for the team, and sacrificing herself, and i cant see hawkeye doing that except in the context of he has nothing left to lose after the snap, but that becomes kinda moot since they're doing that to give him his family back. i couldnt see his character actually killing himself knowing that he'd lose his family for good.

she was right, that scene with Hawkeye and Black widow was beautiful, it was the perfect and fitting end to my girl Natasha Romanoff, a heroic, yet tragic heroine that was always sort of in the shadow of everyone else. Iron-man, Captain America, Thor and so on. she is the only B character in a movie I wished was an A, If you know what I mean. in Avengers, the A characters are Iron Man, Captain America and Thor, maybe the Hulk (not so much in Infinity war however, the B characters are all the others and most of the B characters have had their own movie in the MCU, I'm so happy she gets one too, I hope it includes Hawkeye, I'm sure it does. maybe we finally get to see what happened in Budapest: D

It really should have been a three part movie, I feel like they had to cut out parts that should have been longer, the movie as a whole was fun and great but I feel like it being a three parter ranging around 2ish hours would have given them ample time to set things up, they get up to right before the battle, cutting it off right as the avengers building got whipped. it would allow the battle to be drawn out more to allow us to really get great action shots rather than the quicker rapid shots we saw, allowing them to show off, to add more to battle itself, then wrapping it up would have had plenty of time to realllllly get things right.

Its not black widows death its her been treated like nothing while Tony had a huge funeral a big hero for killing someone Thor couldve beheaded, and wasp & antman couldve stolen those stones, seemed they forgot her quick yet she helped the most. She didnt get the Peter Parker tears yet shes the reason hes alive. So much of a heroic moment for it to be pushed aside like that and forgotten. The female scene was a smack in the face after not even giving Carol, Shuri, Valkyrie real plots that added up or wasp who trained Scott and would be VERY useful any fight scenes, she is the reason Scott was there in the first place.

Me as Hawkeye: OK Natasha, you want to go. I'll let you, I'll give you this one. But do me a favor, I've wanted you since the day I saw you(long loving speech. If we all dying doing this, I want to know that I got to have the thing I wanted most, you. She tears, cut-to others, returns with us lying in a pile of our clothes. She gets up, says something sweet then leaps-of butt-naked. Me: Sure glad she did that, no way in HELL I was going to jump, hey Red, where's the Soul Stone. - OK Russo's work this into the Special Edition, Oh wait Test Audience felt it was too raunchy, screw them!

I wish they both Jumped off the cliff and the Soul Stone Aura surrounds them and they float up back on the cliff where the red skull reveals that because both at the same time were not selfish to LET one another jump BY THEMSELVES. That the Soul stone sees boyh worthy of having pure hearts and souls at this certain point of their lives. Where Ronin and Widow have so much red on their ledgers but both of their selfless acts show the Soul Stone they are worthy. Giving both a reason to life their burdens of their past. Now that woulda been a great scene.
