The reason Spider-Man 2 has such a high reputation is because it embodies the heart and mindset of the true Spider-Man. The film still stands against modern spidey movies. So do I think ffh can be a good movie? Well yes, but all should be very cautious about the claims within reviews. mostly because theyre prone to get asses in seats.
To blow expectations Far from home would have to be faithful to the Character of Spider-Man and his ideals as well. Far from home needs to branch away from a connected existence and focus on the big issues to Peter and Spider-Man. The struggle between the two people (Peter and Spider-Man) is incredibly essential. Spider-Man and Peter Parker are two colliding forces that arent easy to balance completely!
One more thing that isnt really a gripe but a major issue I find with these films, Peter sucks at keeping his secret and everybody is okay with it like ffs guys theres a reason to having a secret identity for crying out loud. Where is the repercussions? but whatever. hopefully Im wrong and far from home is good.

It will only be another avengers movie with no avengers. Really? Mysterio friends with spiderman trying to fight elemental creatures that got into this universe because of thanos? Man. :/
Spider-man 2 forever will be the perfect Spider-man movie. I do love holland as Spidey but comenon man! This shit is too over the top. I just want a good story, a good villain, NYC and Spidey, thats it. Spidey belongs to NY, he couldve be protecting the world but the reason he doesnt is BECAUSE someone has to take care of the weak, he knows that someone has to be protecting this city, its Spider-manbYOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBOOR, not Spider-Man the one, last and only avenger protecting the world from creatures of another universe. And yes I know that stuff does happen in the comics, but I guess im more of a classi Spidey fan. Oh and I cant stand the new red and black with a white spider suit.

They said the same thing about Homecoming when it came out. In fact that say that for every MCU movie. Well I guess it's people's own opinions, if it's better than Spider-Man 2 and Spiderverse, it has some serious shoes to fill and prove. Honestly I don't trust critics, trust your gut is all I say. These are just early reviews, most early reviews for MCU movies are posative. Even Captain Marvel had good early reviews. All I can say is judge it on your own, don't base judgements based on Rotten Tomatoes scores (RT is pretty shady, IMDB scores or metric scores. Judge it yourself. Most of these fans are MCU fans, of course their gonna defend their precious MCU.

I'm skeptic of the legitimacy of half these tweets. People should let people enjoy the film if they were entertained by this. As for me, I think one of the critics tweet is full of bullsht. What a horrible sad marvel movie. Absolutely disappointed! was actually worse than Ant-Man and the wasp and I'm pretty sure it was the same director. Who is looper kidding. And how can anyone honestly give this movie a good review. it was terrible and all over the place. piss poor writing. It's sad because I wanted to like it.

It sounds more like it's overhyped, as if people are afraid to criticise Far From Home. So I'll take all that praise with a grain of salt.
Those same people were ecstatic about Homecoming as well, and that movie was filled with cringeworthy moments.

I am super excited! As a avid Spider-Man reader I loved Homecoming and I think it is still my favorite Spider-Man movie so if this one is as good then I will definitely have a blast. Also I am really curious to see whats in those Post Credit scenes.
