Here's Why Midsommar Is The Scariest Movie Of 2019 So Far ANTHONY: Both these movies SUCK!
Both Hereditary & MidSommar were just boring. I love slow burn horror but this ain't it. I can think of quite a few slow burn horror movies better than these two.
Martyrs is an amazing exmaple of slow burn done right.
Trouble Everyday again another amazing movie
Goodnight Mommy is probably average but still better than both MidSommer & Hereditary.
I just hate Ari's movies. He's 0 for 2 as far as I'm concerned.

Is the swedish translated to english in US versions? Only seen the swedish version. It was not that scary because I understood all speach ( except for parts in fake rubbish or parts in some kind of ancient norse speach) but it would have been scaryer and better if I diden't knew what people around me are saying about me and to each other.

I hate quotes like that.
Not long ago, Veronica was called the scariest Horror movie of all time and its so disturbing that 9 out of 10 people have to quit watching.
I watched it, till the end and i believed that statistic, but in some other way. 9 of 10 people didnt made it until the end because the movie was so extremely boring.

Hereditary which shares the same director with Midsommar is sold in 4K blu-ray, and Midsommar with its ubiquitous vibrant bright colorful movie demands to be seen in the medium that makes possible the best intense color and resolution. Why is Midsommar not sold particularly to the U. S. and Canada market in 4K blu-ray?

I wouldn't exactly call this a scary film. There's a difference between something being scary and something being disturbing or just hard to watch. This film gave me the same exact feeling as the films American History X andRequiem for a Dream. It's more a psychological thriller.

it wasn't scary. It was a slow burn, and the ending didn't pay off, at least for me. Hereditary was a slow burn, but the pay off was amazing. Moviegoers are split from what I've seen. Either they love it or don't like it at all. I'm in the latter group.

For a long drawn out movie, I must say I was really still wanting to the see the ending, not necessarily scary, but bizarre, and unnerving. I really liked the ending of Danis story though, it works.

It wasn't scary, but I did hate it. A lot. If someone had been waiting outside the theatre, handing out pills that made you permanently forget the last two or three hours or so, I would have taken one.

I dont trust media anymore when they say something is scary! I believed that crap with US from Jordan Peele, I saw such title of The Scariest Movie of all Time and it ended being such mediocre.

For some reason you come in wanting to be scared when you watch a horror movie yet it disappoints and you come out saying that was good but not really ever getting scared
