The Critics Have Seen Joker And This Is What They're Saying mok: Phoenix should be nominated, NO DOUBT!
I have some harsh critique, though. The JOKER is supposed to be the Batman's intellectual equal, always being one step ahead of him until Batman finally catches him. Christian Bale voice: WHERE IS HE!
Batman is written as the DCU's World's Greatest Detective. this JOKER just doesn't seem smart enough to give the Bat any trouble at all. He didn't know people were messing with him half the time or he figured it out later. There was no indication of the level of intelligence required to be the arch nemesis of the Batman.
The JOKER always has a plan, is always calculating and very deliberate in the moves he makes. This JOKER escaped by luck every time and already gave up his identity on national TV by killing the talk show host. Not a JOKER move at all. He came across as more of a Serial Killer with no plan, rather than a Super Villain.
Again. Joaquin delivered a phenomenal performance and should be nominated for the Oscar. I'm not sure Heath Ledger could've pulled this role off. but, this movie missed the point (especially in the last act) and just didn't deliver a believable nemesis to the Bat. Batman would catch this guy easily.

I think the cynics fail to recognise how brilliant and resonating this movie truly is. Most people can relate to the feeling of social isolation and being ostracised from the world. This movie is a metaphor for the insanity society inflicts on us and the ending represents our own chaotic minds and the lengths we go though to escape from a painful reality. It is not an invitation to conduct a mass murder contrary to some overt reviews, a person does not simply perform a mass execution based on watching a violent movie. It is a well written observant piece of art. A true magnum opus. The fact this movie is polorising and can be interpreted in multiple ways only demonstrates it's brilliance. Seems like all the cynical reviews are coming from enitled and privelliaged people who do not know the meaning of true suffering. the irony.

'JOKER' EXPLAINED
Every minute of every day presents us with untold options for filling our minds with the mania, exploits, disasters, furies, reversals, ambitions, triumphs, insanity and cataclysms of strangers around our benighted planet. Always, news organisations speak of our need to know and to need to know right now. But what they have left out is our equally great, and often even greater need not to know: because we cannot change anything, because the stories are too violent, dispiriting and sad, because our minds are fragile, because we have responsibilities closer to home, because we need to lead our own lives rather than be torn apart by stories of the lives of others who are ultimately remote from and irrelevant to us.

The movie Joker is like a mirror. A mirror to ourselves. How ordinary people see themselves in this crazy world called capitalism. The struggles we face on a daily basis and extreme frustration that we couldnt get out. The director just exposed that hidden side of the human soul and uses the cinema to reveal it in which no other individual would have done. This is not just about the comic book villain, but its about our deepest unexposed selves. Because, even we called ourselves sane, there is always a Joker hidden in our subconscious mind. We should know how control that Joker in us.

What I hate about critics. They critique the things we see and hear yet, none of them have the courage to to be honest as to whether they truly liked something or not. Their opinions are the same as all the other critics. Everyone wants to believe the hype based on these critic reviews but this bland Joker film was a long, boring, rehash of Scorsese's Taxi Driver. Out of 2+hours, there were only 2 or 3 action scenes that were worth mentioning. The rest of the movie you're just watching Phoenix do weird shit. What's Oscar worthy about that? The hype is dying as I type.

This is an allegory for white, straight males in the west. We're expected to accept a back seat ride through life because non whites, gays, and liberals say we have to, and we're writhing in our heads, just like the Joker. It is safe to say that the reason Trump got elected is because there are already millions of Jokers living quietly in the gulag the minorities have created for them. Reflect on this, for ignorance shall turn the candle to inferno, given time.

In among all the redundant superhero movies (insert hero, insert villian, conflict, confict, conflict conflict conflict, hero wins, the end) this is a movie for a movie goer with a brain, someone who thinks beyond 'Oo and Ah where great writing, acting and directing shine at the highest level. If Rami Malek can win a Best Actor Oscar, Joaquin Phoenix should be awarded the Oscar right now! As Joker, he is head and shoulders above any acting I've ever seen.

The reason why a lot of mainstream media is giving joke a bad rating is because the cryptic plot behind the movie. Overtime Society itself turns him into the Joker. In all actuality it's so true that the mainstream media can't handle it and that's why you don't see a lot of reruns of V for Vendetta. This movie strikes to the very core of what happens when things start to break down and Society starts to break down and that scares them.

This movie was terrible! Plain boring. Almost fell asleep more than once. The ending was okay, but the plot of this movie sucked! Sorry critics, you got it wrong. again
Why do highly rated movies by critics suck, & low rated films are good? Remember, brokeback mountain won all kinds of awards. A gay cowboy movie, seriously! Critics suck but not as bad as this movie

The thing with certain critics is that, in order to feel in any way relevant and 'edgy', they have to swim against the tide. Without doing so they know that no-one would give them a second thought. So, in slating a film of such brilliance, they at least know that they will have an impact - even if they had to stick their heads up their own assholes in order to achieve it.
