Why These Animated Superhero Shows Were Really Canceled El: Its weird haven watched X-Men the series, which I loved, and watching the evolution of the X-Men movie franchise. Who were Professor Charles Xavier's leaders of the X-Men in the cartoons were far different than the movies. Cyclops, Storm, Rogue. Their positions were reduced or eliminated as leaders of the team. Gambit was in the cartoon series, but the movies? He wasn't seen in a big role untill Days of Future Past. Rogue? reduced, Storm? reduced. The X-man character that was there consistantly was Wolverine. And we ALL know of that character Raven aka Mystique who in the cartoon series was a bad character, one of Magneto's members who was still bad at the beginning of the movie series, but ended up being one of Xaviers team members, her character role surpassed both Storm and Rogue, due to the popularity of the actress Jennifer Lawrence. As with all Cartoon series and motion picture franchises there can be differences and with the X-Men you could see it.

To make Spiderman Unlimited's competition with Pokemon even more eerie, the Latin American voice for Peter/Spidey was voicing James from Pokemon at the same time. And he took his liberties with his dialogues by sneaking references about one show in the other. It kind of made some viewers wish there was a crossover between both shows that deep down we knew could never happen.

Beware the Batman was slow as hell for the first half of the season/series. I got the whole thing on iTunes for 10 and while its worth the money I paid, I had to make myself sit through and watch it until the halfway point where it finally picks up some momentum and interesting stories.

About the Silver surfer TV series you forgot to mention that it was canceled before the very last episode! Every episode aired except the last one! I had to look up the story script and read it online! What a terrible way to go! I really liked that show.

Xmen was the best of every cartoon mentioned, which contributed as to why it was never really cancelled. Avengers Assembled was a more sophisticated show, which kept your interest more, even if it wasn't as mindlessly fun as Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

I loved X-Men: The Animated Series, and Static Shock was a delightful surprise. I miss them both. I wish you had included the short-lived Ultraforce from Malibu Comics. What Marvel did to them was truly criminal, and I'd like to sue them for it.

I really liked the Original Teen Titans. I was miffed when it taken off the air. What they replaced it with is a joke. Mostly toilet humor, bad scripts, etc. Not really what I want my kids to watch.

I remember the pure RAGE of when I'd wake up on saturdays and x-men was a re-run while they were getting things figured out or whatever. It would set the tone for my whole weekend sometimes lmao.

It's annoying for someone like me to hear a show got canceled because toy sales were bad. I liked cartoons, but wasn't big on toys. At least not toys based on cartoon shows.
