R-Rated Movies That Should Be Rated PG-13
video description
When studios do the other way around to target a wider audience, it always backfires
Just look at The Expendables 3, they thought that making PG-13 would make more money, but instead, it made less money than the previous movies
Deadpool proved how obsolete this tactic is, and how studios shouldn't be afraid to do something hardcore
Because chance favors the bold

I guess it's official I am getting old. I've seen most of these movies. On this list most of the movies that are rated r, that would not be rated r today just goes to show how much society has changed. Conservative values have been greatly eroded over the last 20 years. Overall being middle-of-the-road I would say that you're about 50-50 is far as being right on on the money.

I once saw Blazing Saddles on TV in the late 90s and, not only did they completely cut the best parts, they MUTED the campfire scene so you couldn't hear the farts! It was just a bunch of cowboys eating around a campfire and occasionally swaying to one side or the other! Absolutely ridiculous!

There's nothing wrong with PG-13 rating. Adult themes are very much ok. I remember Breakfast Club. I remember little of that classroom scene. Where boy and girl crashed. Constantine is fantastic! Love this movie. Matrix is fantastic too. Amazing! Max Payne started bullet time. It started there

Well you got to think about some of these movies that are on this list that got the R rating some of them were made before PG-13 was even a thing. PG 13 rating system wasn t added until the 80s. We all know that the first PG-13 movie was ET.

Partially right about 'The Matrix. ' It was because of the intense action. One scene for instance was Smith repeatingly headbutting Morpheus. Silly? yes, but that's why.

Imagine if Peter Jackson made a LOTR trilogy about the age where the 27 Balrogs ruled the earth. and he made it in a horror-ish R-rated genre.

I always felt that The Lost Boys should be PG-13 because there really isn t that much graphic violence or explicit language.

The matrix's violence are bloodless and the profanity throughout the film was derived from RATM's song at the end of the film
