If the people so vocal about this movie actually cared about the subject matter, they would have seen the dozens of movies that came out before this, regardless of who made them. They wouldn't be buying tickets for their friends, they would be sharing links for donations to organizations that have been around for decades.
These are still JUST FILMMAKERS trying to make money. Using a sensitive subject matter to do so.
People spreading conspiracy theories are addicted to their narrative. And do not actually care about child trafficking, but they're politics and needing to believe ridiculous conspiracies about Hollywood, fed to you by other members of the Hollywood elite pretending to be otherwise for profit.

What s rather telling about the folks that praise this movie.
Are the same people who scream tooth and nail Build the Wall and dehumanize the same families the movie highlights who are doing whatever it takes to escape from trafficking environments to protect their children.

Well, I'm unsubbing. You either are in favor of protecting children or you are against protecting children. There is nothing political in protecting children. Everyone in hollywood is either paid off or scared to agree with whats going on. Alot of reviewers want to avoid talking about the movie completely. Even if the movie exaggerates certain plot points, what based on a true story movie doesn t and it doesn t normally bother hollywood. But this does?

Ballard and this movie are liars. He claims that he rescued a 11 year old girl. When she was interviewed she said that she got out all by herself, she was 14 and never heard of ballard or his organisation.
