I survived high school graduated 4 years ago you can through it I wouldn't stress the extracurriculars enough I didn't and wish I had. Of course I was in Choir for 3 and 1/2 years and we watched Glee a lot actually because it was very popular during my high school years. So Good luck and have fun and enjoy it because once you get to college it's a lot harder. I wasn't a person who liked writing essays either so in College I paid for it doing a lot better now I'm in community college. Yeah that's another thing if you think the four year isn't suited for you community colleges are a great way to get you started because it wasn't for me. You can always transfer to the four year later that's what I'm doing and I had no idea what I wanted to do at first and believe me there are plenty of people who are undecided who eventually decide what's a good fit for them. Good luck and enjoy your high school experience.

The best way to survive High School is to understand that it is a fleeting experience with people whom you will never see again after you reach the end and graduate (at the very least the vast majority you will not see again. So if you're being bullied then bear that in mind and just try to avoid the source (people) of those problems whenever you can and if you're among the popular or semi-popular group then try to cherish every moment you have with friends. Live every high school day anticipating graduation or the final day and it will help.

I should be glad that I grew up in Sweden. The kind of behaviour you see/hear about in American highschools with popularity and bullying is something that's very unusual in Swedish highschools. We usually outgrow that sort of behaviour after 9th grade. Sure, the jocks prefer to hang with the jocks, and the nerds with the nerds, but there's no hierarchy or bullying going on.

I would also like to add that it is rather strange that those first few years after high school as just as good! One of my best friends got married at 20, and that was one of the best weddings I'd ever been in! Not only that, but almost every other girl had a crush on him, so that meant there wouldn't be a trail of women following us in our 20s.

You won't be important anymore after high school so, why even bother? LOL. Just focus of being nice to those that are nice to you and that's it.
