They they? Won't they? These couples kept us all guessing! For this list, well be looking at the best slow burn television romances. Our countdown includes The Nanny, New Girl, Friends, and more! Did we miss any of YOUR preferred couples?

I know everyone will have differing opinions on this based on their faves shows/ships- but personally would have put Jonah and Amy, Benson and Stabler, Ben and Leslie and Booth and Brennan all MUCH higher- also would have included Castle and Beckett, Luke and Lorelai, Veronica and Logan and maybe even Jake and Amy.
Also you should totally do an animated list! Fry and Leela, Luz and Amity, PB and Marceline, Star and Marco! There are so so many great ones.

I thought Rachel and Ross would be number 1. But Pam and Jim win this round. Heres some more will they/wont they tv couples.
Laura Winslow and Steve Urkel
Erica Goldberg and Geoff Schwartz
Alan Harper and Lyndsey McElroy
Rayna Jaymes and Deacon Claybourne
Brandon Walsh and Kelly Taylor
Melanie Barnett and Derwin Davis

My top ships are Burzek (Kim Burgess and Adam Ruzek from Chicago PD, Booth and Brennan (Bones, Lucifer and Chloe from Lucifer, Rigsby and Van Pelt from The Mentalist, Nick and Jess, Kris and Junior(Wildfire, Castle and Beckett and Angela and Hodgins also from Bones, and Ross and Rachel, Jules and Grayson from Cougar Town

The couples I watch over and over: Castle and Beckett, Nick and Jess, Pam and Jim, Joey and Pacey, Bones and Booth (watching this for the first time, and boy are they Mulder/Scully 2. 0 and they even seem to know it lol) but Mulder and Scully are the ship that started it all for me; Im a slow burn girl forever now.
reply

I am glad that Mulder and Scully on the list but they should've been higher. X-files took a special place in my heart. But also surprised that Castle and Beckett (Castle) and Donna and Harvey (Suits) aren't on the list. Both couples in my opinion have great chemistry and they ended up together
reply

Im actually surprised that Kate Beckett and Richard Castle werent on the list as it was nice to see Kate try to deny her feelings for Richard and dating other guys to cover them up and it was nice to see them opening up to each other also Kate was really like a mother figure to Alexis
reply

How are you not even going to give David and Donna a honorable mention. That relationship ran the whole 10 years the series did and the final episode was them finally getting married after breaking up dozens of times over the years and being in serious relationships with other people.
reply

Another will they wont they couple is Lucy and Tim from the rookie because it was actually really unsure if they would make them a couple considering he was her training officer and even the writers said they wont make them a couple in the beginning.
reply

Mulder and Scully should have been number one. I mean we still don't know if they are together, is it Mulder's baby, isn't it? How did it even come to be? Is it alien? And was Frohike really 57 when he died?
reply

I'm missing Richard Castle and Kate Becket from Castle and very current Lucy Chen and Tim Bradfor from The Rookie.
And that's just from the top of my head. But maybe there'll be a second (and/or third) list?

reply

Really wish I could watch the office. Even small clips like this get me dizzy. Does that camera shake throughout all of it like when he's telling her that he loves her. That's the movement that makes me dizzy
reply

I have read as many comment's as I could to know if anyone may have mention Grissom and Sidle, whom are still very much together to this very day. So thay sure would or even should of earned a spot on this list.
reply

There are soooo many better couples missing!
Josh/Donna - West Wing
Donna/Harvey - Suits
Harm/Mac - J. A. G.
Luke/Lorelei - Gilmore Girls
Sam/Jack - Stargate SG1
Castle/Becket - Castle

reply

Sam & Diane should have been #1. Sam didn't marry Diane. Diane left for 6 years to pursue her career as a writer.
Frasier also dated Diane but Diane left Frasier at the altar in Italy.

My top 5 are:
1 Jess and Nick (New Girl) 2. Luke and Loreali (Gilmore Girls) 3. Robin and Barney from HIMYM 4. Hook and Emma (Once Upon a Time) 5. Pacey and Joey from (Dawson's Creek)

reply

Stiles and Lydia from Teen Wolf is a big one for me because they had so many will they wont they moments and they didnt even become an actual couple until the 6th (final) season
reply

This is a good list. Probably the only ones missing, for me, were Penny & Leonard from TBBT, Buffy & Angel from BTVS, and Max & Zoey from Zoeys Extraordinary Playlist.
reply

Josh and Donna from The West Wing. They were obviously in love with each other, with amazing chemistry, since season 1, but they couldn't act on it until season 7.
reply

My favorite will they/ won't they couples are J. D. and Elliot, Veronica and Logan. I love Leslie and Ben, but their journey was not so long and hard
reply

Tony Micelli and Angela Bower whos the Boss. Yall need to fire all the zoomers if you wanna get these lists in any way right. This is a digrace.
reply

Most of my couples were on this list but it was an absolute crime to keep Laura Holt and Remington Steele from even an honorable mention!
reply

I was surprised when Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon got together in The Mentalist. How about a list of couples you didn't see coming?
reply

The X-Files should be in the top five tho. Many other pairings were practically derived from them and their dynamic.
reply

Why isn't there Lisbon and Jane from The Mentalist? Their chemistry is unmatched and they kept us wondering for 6 seasons
reply

They're showing clips of Mulder and Scully where Mulder wasn't even Mulder. He was Eddie Van Blundht. the h is silent.
reply

I was hoping Maggie O'Connell and Joel Fleischman from Northern Exposure would at least be an honorable mention.
reply

The biggest issue around coupling characters is will it kill the show. Makes sense of the drawn-out storylines.
reply

What about Matthew and Mary from Downton Abbey? They should at least have gotten an honorable mention!
reply

How did Harvey and Donna lose and did not even get an honorable mention I am baffled.
