I had a dog when I was a child. He was meant to be a family dog, but it became clear pretty quickly that he was bonded with me. He would walk with me to school, about a mile, then meet me at home. When I mowed the lawn he was terrified of the lawn mower, but he would refuse to leave my side, feeling he had to product me. He protected me from my abusive family more than once, even suffering a broken leg when he was thrown across a room. The vet fixed him for what little money I had, and I was and still am grateful. When I was a teen there was a guy that I liked. My dog hated him, though. Once he was over at my house and tried to attack me. My dog broke out of the room he was shut in and bit the guy's hand, saving me. He passed when I was about twenty and I lost the most loyal, protective, and loving companion that I will ever have. We are not deserving of a dog's love, but I was lucky enough to be saved by that love.

Are you really sure Hachi's ashes is resting with his master? From what I read, they took his body, empaillait him (I'm French, I don't know the word: s ) and use him as a vulgar touristic object in a museum, never allowing him to be eternally with his master. Hopefully, maybe it changed?
And Balto. Poor dearie, he truly had a miserable life after his great adventure. Check the Internet, it's quite sad. (I saw a documentary, it was quite shocking)

All these stories are incredible, balto was a great dog but if you look into it he truly wasn't the dog that should have been glorified. It should have been Togo, what an incredible dog he was but so many people don't know about him

I had a dog for 10 year's and When I was going to school he would bite my bag and passed out because of canser we built a grave for 2 of my dogs that died the one was our guardian and passed out while I was at school
