I DON'T AGREE.
Some animals may be easy to care for But all animals can get sick, which will mean expensive vet bills, and most will need LOTS of space, which is expensive, and all require there own foods, almost no animals eat the same things.
0: 12 I understand this was just for a funny clip, and movie, but it shows basically animal neglect, small cage=no room for hides which they need to feel safe because they are prey animals, and there's no hay, without hay guinea pigs will be extremely unhealthy, and there's no room to do normal behaviors, or exercise, 7. 5 square feet is the MINIMUM. And they require lots of cleaning.
0: 29 -rabbits. Rabbits, They need lots of space. I don't agree with you can just let them jump around the house for exercise. Because it's better to just let them live in the house free roaming.
5: 52 -hamster many of these hamster mazes are extremely stressful, and some can even be deadly to the hamster, and people think it's cute some also so hamsters together, and hamsters will fight or even kill each other. 6: 20, it shows a hamster in ball, they can get there feet stuck resulting in injury, and what fun is it to either sit, or run? And your scared because you're just a little hamster who can't see 6 inches in front of him, and in a unfamiliar environment, how is that fun? And throwing the hamster? I know it's just part of a movie, but if that hamster where real, it would be dead. You know there's also probably kids watching that, even if it's not for kids, and a kid seeing that might make them think it's okay. They also need lots of bedding, and a big wheel, chews, food, ect.
7: 20 -fish. also, they can live in a cup of water, although, it's not recommended it shouldn't be like that in pet stores, it's abuse. 7: 31 Imagine a small child, like 2 years old, and she's the fishes bowl, that's not good.
7: 37 -guinea pigs, again. Guinea pigs are easy to own pets NO. It's not easy, if there was a list of how hard it was to take care of a animal, it'd be medium, they need 7. 5 sq feet of space for 2, but 10. 5 is recommended, and I'd say do 5 square feet per guinea pig to live the best life, but, you only need 7. 5, (the animal Humane society said that, and they're experienced) And not all Guinea pigs like to be touched, but some do, so I willn't complain on the first clip. 7: 41 that's abuse, in a movie. Again, imagine a couple of kids watching that, because a parent or older sibling is watching it, that's animal abuse.
8: 08 -chinchilla who actually don't love being held that much some don't mind, But that's generally true. Again with the easy to own you realise how big a chinchilla cage should be? Usually 5 feet tall I recommend, and they can jump up to 6 feet, and most need to live together, and how you'll probably need to have some kind of cooling for them in the summer? Or how expensive it is to care for them?
I don't mean to be mean, I just want to say that lot's of animals are misunderstood, and are harder to care for then this, what is commonly thought. Please, understand I just care for animals well being.

Chinchilas are NOT easy pets.
-they poop ALOT the only saving grace is that its dry, hard and compact
-nocturnal
-very energetic, if you have any genuine love for it you will have to let it out ATLEAST once a day for an hour or two
-they dont like being help, pet or really anything that involves you touching it (the only time my sister was able to hold hers was when he was sickand dying)
-they are fragile creatures, broken bones dont heal with them
-they are always chewing and go through toys quickly
-they cant get wet (dust in dust baths are pretty expensive
-their gut is highly susceptible to problems the slightest upset can often lead to vet visits
all this being said, if you have your heart set on a chinchilla, do NOT get it from pet smart. look for a reputable breeder who breeds them with their health and wellness in mind.
our furry friend, my sisters pet chinchilla koko was from petco and had a defect in his teeth which caused his back teeth to grow out of control and cut his gums leading him to eat less. because of his fur and the fact we couldn't pick him up, by the time he showed any noticable signs of a problem its was too late. we had him on medicine to help get rid of the infection while we tried to get him more narrow things to chew on but by the second day he wasn't eating at all and he had gotten a prolapse because of the medicine. he was too underweight to go in for surgery for the prolapse (and the surgery in question had a low success rate because of how fragile they are) he passed away a day after the prolapse.
he was a special little guy and we still miss him.

OMG! videos like this is why so many rabbits are abandoned. I have a Holland lop and they ARE NOT easy pets. They require specialized care. Their vet care is very expensive because they are considered exotic pets. And it must be a vet that treats rabbits, which can be hard to find. You have to be very aware at all times to whats going on with them. You have to keep their diet in perfect balance. If its off at all they can go into stasis or have diarrhea. They also drink a lot of water. They need nail trims. They also need things to chew on so their teeth stay trimmed. You have to monitor their poops to see whats going on with their guts. You can scare a rabbit to death, they are very sensitive and dont like loud noises and rough handling. Many hate to be picked up. They can bite and scratch. You cannot leave them for days. And they need a lot more room than you would think. So while I love my bunny, you have to be the right person for one and they are amazing pets.

Easy is one thing. Expense, is quite the other. I now just go into the woods, and collect a pet. Very cheap. Guinea Pigs & rabbits, were a affordable critter. Not in today's economy. Hay bags now contain less, yet remain the same price, requiring you to purchase more frequently. Food pellets have nearly doubled in price, and will continue to increase. Pet food, only cost a few cents to manufacture & package. So companies are earning a four-to-eight hundred percent profit. That's a fact. And for some bizarre reason, cages, have doubled-in-price, in the last six months. Rat snakes can go for a $100, in a pet store. Ya can catch'em in the wild for free. Cats, have become extremely expensive, as cat toys are a fortune in cost. A piece of cardboard(yes. cardboard, is sold for twenty dollars, at Pet Supplies Plus, used for. scratching. 20. 00! Easy. yes. Cheap. Hell No.

HAMSTERS ARE NOT GOOD AS STARTER PETS ESPECIALLY FOR KIDS! They will need a huge cage at minimum 550 Square inches a wheel between 10-13 inches depending on what breed ya get they need a diet with lots and lots of variety constantly fresh water from ether a bottle or small dish a salad every other day and lots of gentle handling never use a hamster ball or car they do not have proper ventilation once a hamster starts moving in it they cant stop and will crash into things and the impact from that can and will cause broken bones and can cause heart attacks from the fear which can and will lead to potential death also there legs can get caught in the ventilation holes and they will chew there own leg off in a attempt to free themself and if they dont chew there leg off they can break there leg by rolling on it or they could hang themself. Please do your research.

As a fellow bunny owner, bunnies are NOT easy to take care of. It may seem like it but they need a lot of attention. They are also preys which makes it much harder. It takes a long time to get a bunnys trust (most of the time) I have three, two of them are still of and on with me. Its been months. I was very aware of that when I got them. Its not just hay. They need different types of hay depending on their age. Most young bunnies dont eat veggies. They eat pellets. Adult bunnys also eat pellets just a different amount. And there is so much more than that. You need to do lots of research before getting a bunny.

Im not a pet owner ( but soon to be pet owner for the second time in my life), but what im about to say is common sense.
Literally no pet is easy, they take responsibility and time to take care of. They're not toys, they're living beings. They need hard work for them to be healthy. Also, as a former guinea pig owner, i'd say they are like rabbits. And i can assure u, rabbit Is NOT a easy pet to take care of. My friend had one too and we both sometimes took care of it. It was so much hard work.

Stick insects multiply (the females obviously) without a partner. So get one, and she will startaying about 30 eggs en and with 3 months you'll have a lot more and need a bigger enclosure. And since the male gene cant be passed on by a single female all those 30 baby's will also be female. Something I was not told when somebaby gave me a few eggs to keep in my kindergarten classroom for fun. So yes they don't need much time and care but good luck taking care of 90 of them

Hamsters arent starter or easy pets. The need lots of space and they are extremely picky. Sometimes, even if u gave them ur hole room, they will still be un happy. They are also really good at hiding sicknesses until its to late to help them, thats why i always do check ups on my hammy.

I don't understand why all of them are easy. I've known and watched about all of them and they're not that easy. You can't just leave it there and neglected them (even fishes. They need a clean, safe home. And they are smart, have emotions and memories, so interact with them!

No pets are easy to take care of.
But some are better as begginer pets.
A hamster is not a begginer pet. A lot of people do not understand them.
A guinea pig is easier to understand and handle then a hamster but you have to clean and care more for them.

Birds are NOT easy pets this means all birds. Also their diets must be healthy and varied. You need to limit seeds, find a healthy pellet food, include fresh fruits and veggies. They can't just be left in their cage all the time. Birds require a lot of time and care.

As a bird owner that still has his first bird, do not get a lovebird, their beaks are large, their jaws are strong, and since their beaks are hooked they can pierce your skin when they bite you and the hooked beak means you cant just pull your finger out.

No pet is easy so to speak. Some easier than others sure. But if you are to look after them properly then all of them are commitments for years and it costs money and time to look after them including who you trust to look after them when going on holiday

Only dogs and cats should be pets. Should be adopted as well.
Other animals should be in the wild.
Im okay with rescuing mice, rats, etc. Others that have been domesticated should be in a sanctuary.

Whats funny about bunnies, is that bunnies are harder to care for, they need groomed, nails clipped, just like dogs and cats, should NOT be caged, unless its a HUGE cage, and are VERY EXPENSIVE
