Big Little Lies has taken home 8 Emmys and 4 Golden Globes, and now its coming back for a second season. For this list, were looking at the most interesting behind the scenes info about one of the most talked about shows of 2017. Did you know that the show was almost on Netflix? Did you know that the therapy session scenes werent rehearsed? Considering how emotionally fraught and intense the scene ends up being, you would imagine that tons of practice went into it

They also cut one of Madelyn's children from the book, a boy, Ed's son, who also was more drawn to Nathan because of their shared interest in cars, which of course was very difficult for Ed to witness.
And the very end of the book has Celeste at a therapy session where she notices her therapist has also brought a man, who she later realizes is also, like her, a spousal abuse survivor. Also cut.
Not to mention, the end of the book is way better than the end of the miniseries (or is it series now. By far.

Here are few facts: Most of the show is NOT filmed in Monterey, but in southern California. There are a few scenes shot in Pacific Grove and Monterey.
Also, for anyone who's been to Monterey, the bridge they drive across (Bixby bridge) is dozens of miles south of Monterey and is not used to get between parts of the city. Silly Hollywood.

Great stuff, hard hitting and emotional. Moriarty is also the name of the child psychologist and the writer also a little egg when Ed goes to talk with Bonnie, she says we all come with baggage then doesn't elaborate any more, I kind of figured out pretty early that there's more to her then.

I personally think it should just be one season and honestly I almost wish they had just turned the book into a movie or something. I dont know how I feel about a second season. I like how the author developed the characters and if they make a second season I do hope she helps write it at least

I need to rewatch the therapy scenes because they were some of the best acted scenes so its blowing my mind that they weren't rehearsed. Just when I thought I couldn't love the show more

They did sort of very subtly allude to Bonnie's past abuse in the show, because she kept touching her neck when and after it all happened. I thought that was a nice touch

I really liked the show, but to me it ends where season one ended, there's nothing more to say, at least to me. I'm satisfied with what we've got.

Spolier Alert
If you notice the opening credits, they show just one of the twins probably hinting that it is one of them who hurts Amabella.

I like the book better and they shouldnt have changed the death scene at all and had Bonnie yelling/screaming at perry (this is my opinion)

Such a cool thing to find out those therapy scenes were unrehearsed. They were, indeed, some of the best scenes in the show.

I think 2 season it's exciting but I am with afraid that will sucks! So I was happy but not satisfied with one season

I loved the show but I wasnt so psyched about the last episode. It wasnt shocking for me, didnt leave me wanting more.

Wow I love that the therapy scenes weren't scripted, they were some of the best ones and felt really organic

Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman are such an unexpected duo. They both bring the best out of each other.
