If anything, I'm irked by how the people behind some newer movies thought that they were so clever by mocking a trope that Disney had stopped playing straight years earlier.
2: Disney has never claimed that Pocahontas or Hercules were accurate though. They just made their own stories loosely based on legends and mythology.
1: But I feel that neither Dumbo or Song of the South is that bad, the Indjuns in Peter Pan were fantasy characters in Neverland and not real Native Americans, and the Asian cats in Lady & the Tramp and Aristocats were at least cats and not humans.

Yall leave the past alone i love song of the south he is a wonderful man and he is still my most favorite Disney character! I see slavery as the worst sin in the world but this movie showed the good parts of this mans life and how he brought joy to himself and the world. can't we sit down and respect that! The past built who we are today, right or wrong be glad its there bc it made strong ppl, without it we wouldn't be here u can't argue that.

1: 20 I like how they reinforced the message that 16 y/os aren't old enough to make their own decisions by letting her GET MARRIED at the end of the movie to a man who is most definitely older than 25. sigh If we animated Greek mythology, it'd be rated X or at least, NC 17. and that's not with the beastiality! SNL has proven that. Yeah, humans inbred (royalty especially, too. Don't act like it's a surprise that they're cousins or something.

Racism Various! Ok who was ever offended by any Disney movies? I never was. Know one I know ever was. First of all, think of the times! 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s is primarily what they point out as racist moments. Boo hoo. Anyone who gets offended by any of that rather than just enjoying the movie and realize it was appropriate for the time (and its not like things are that great now anyway) needs to go put in a new tampon and get over it.

I know it's weird to us, but people have to let go of the Nala is Simba's half sister thing. That is how it actually works in real life for lions. There are only a few, if not only one male lion in each pride, so really everyone is kind of related. The young males are send out to gain control of other prides if they can. That may be where genetic diversity comes int play.

There is also little to no historical evidence that these two were romantically involved. was it even necessary to mention the second part? Ok the whole fall in love too quickly was because there was a time where women didn't have a lot of choices you either marry a guy to have a family with or end up as a crazy cat lady it's true and sad. Also you had to move fast cause if you didn't marry that person someone else would.

I watched Disney films during my childhood and it made me smile and laugh. Then I grew up continuing to watch the same old Disney films, and someday would like to show my own kids and they too would smile and laugh. There's no harm in that MsMojo.
