1)I feel Saoirse isn't getting good roles unlike most of the new gen actresses.
2)With that limited selection, she is mostly taking up roles based on books.

a)She worked on Ryan Gosling's directorial debut
b)Ofc Greta- but the whole role wasn't a fresh role, it almost like a continuation of her role in I Could Never Be Your Woman.
c)Josie Rourke for Mary Queen of Scott (2018) who has done only Theatre work and 1 Tv movie under her belt.
d)She was confirmed with the movie Sweetness in the belly which is also a directorial debut of an unknown director e)Again for this movie Seagull, the director has a resume for directing TV series.
f)On Chesil Beach also directed by a TV show director. g) also the director of Stockholm Pennislvania
With her capabilities, she needs to work with established directors with more meaty roles if she wants to expand her work in acting like how she did in Atonement, Hanna, The Lovely Bones.

I agreed with 4 out of 5 picks here are my top 5 Saoirse Ronan picks. Grand Budapest Hotel was serendipity performance but she wasn't on long enough. My No 5. The Lovely Bones. To show how good she was she claimed she never read the book and she still managed to masterfully captured the escence (In life and death) of Suzzi Samon. Her innocence, her fright, her confusion, her sorrow her acceptance, her continued loyalty still watching over her family after death. 4. The bad ass but curious discovery of being a teenager in Hanna, 3. Atonement balancing innocence with irresponsible villaintry in Bironey Talas, 2. Brooklyn and No 1 of coarse Ladybird.

Saoirse needs an updated list every year or two. She keeps racking up incredible performances! Little Women, her 4th Oscar nomination, is one I havent seen yet, as is The Grand Budapest Hotel listed here. Among her roles Ive seen, I rate Brooklyn #1. Still in her 20s, she's played enough roles for a Top 10 list without a weak performance among them!

It amazes me how she doesn't have any social media (which is 1 of the ways celebrities promote themselves and their works) but she's still being recognized and acknowledged especially by the experts. It shows how she's really into the industry genuinely for acting not fame.
