You may think you know the show, but these are 5 juicy behind the scenes secrets you should know about Sex and the City! Did you know that Sarah Jessica Parker had a no nudity clause in her contract? Remember when Matthew McConaughey had a cameo in the series? 3 people actually turned down his part before he accepted!

I know everyone seems to hate SJP however the show as a whole was amazing in my opinion with all 4 characters and the others. Each character was unique. Miranda was cynical and stubborn where Charlotte wanted a NYC Cinderella story, Samantha was free spirited non judgemental and Carrie was kind of the all around girl. They delve into the 4 main types of women in the world, Carrie was yes my least favorite but only because I felt she was very self centered and everything needed to revolve around her. We all know a Mr. Big, we all get with the Perfect guy that just isn't perfect for us and all. I liked that Carrie's character made mistakes because in the real world you make mistakes. Open your viewpoints to another level and you'll understand this was actually beautifully scripted with all actors/actresses involved.

How Sarah Jessica Parker acted toward Kim Cattral about her brother dying felt very inappropriate to me! Sarah Jessica Parker seemed to be trying to use it as an opportunity to manipulate PR in her favor. The passing of a loved one is not the time or place for such actions! Reading Kim Cattral's response about how SJP's actions deeply upset her mother and herself in their time of grief was heart wrenching for me! As someone who has lost many loved ones, those comments resonated with me! So many people like to take advantage of another person's tragedy to prop themselves up and such actions are SICKENING! I hope SJP can redeem herself in my eyes.

Carrie was all about how messed up a woman can be and how greatly she could get hurt by her actions. She is human, and there's a lot you can learn about how not to be like her and how you can be taken advantage of and treated badly by a man. Shallow choices and the consequences. The writer must have had something else in mind but yet it turned out in a good manner for women.

While Kim might be a 'demanding diva, she is totally eclipsed by SJP's demands as well as the amount of control she had over the series' plots and direction. And to top this all off, SJP resorted to virtue signaling when she chose to Publicly offer her condolences wherein a more private gesture would have been appropriate (pretty insulting, overall.

I know majority is siding with Kim and I loved Kim as Samantha but the fact that from the beginning she was going to say no to the show and that Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte) and other members from the show are siding with SJP makes me think shes the one starting the drama.

Ive been a fan of the show for over 20 years. Never liked Carrie or SJP its hard to tell when one ends and the other begins at times and that is not a good thing Kim knew when to stop playing Samantha and by doing so killed Carrie and the series or movies or whatever for good in my opinion. Love Kim!

Love the show sooo much! When I was 13 during the summer that year they gave reruns on E! And I woke up early just to watch lol and I'm 22 now and still in love with the show and the movies, wish there was a 3rd but we can't force anything and just have to let it be for the legacy that it is

Too hard to believe in this feud between Kim and SJP the chemistry and professionalism of the two in the series is amazing that it hurts to know it's not real in real life. I still hope they get along. Omg, stop fighting, you are middle age!

I love Kim's bravery in announcing how hypocrite SJP to her without wishy washy. I believe everyone meets in their office, a hypocrite, two-faced colleague who suddenly become friendly and supportive only when the boss comes -, -

Hated how they ended the series. Big chasing Carrie is so repetive and cliche. And why is Big a catch. They had nothing in common. He was boring af and why would he want with a nut like Carrie? Hated Carrie by the end!

am I the only one that thinks this comment section is a little unhealthy? Stop pitting women against each other, no one knows what happened behind closed doors except the people involved and surprise people can also change.

Team Kim Catrall all the way. SJP was just bitter because everyone adored Catrall and couldn't care less about her. I showed my daughter Catrell's pierce Morgan interview to show her an example of a secure and classy woman.

There are 1000 reasons why Sam is the best, in the other hand honestly Carrie sucks. I get it, Sarah Jessica Parker felt a little bit insecure about Kim's Character. Here came the bad blood between these two of them.

Sjp WAS THE STAR from the beginning and kim doesnot know how to be humble sit down kim get your money and SHUT UP this show made her a star she was nothing before except taking her clothes off in mannaquin

2: 27 During the scene were Carrie meets the movie production assistant played by Sarah Michele Gellar, Sarah actually says the name Warren Beaty but its dubbed over with Matthew Mcconaughey. It looks so weird.
reply

Quite honestly Carrie annoyed me most times. I didnt care for her so called fashion and her hair. I loved her apartment though. I fancied Big in a big way Charlotte was my absolute favourite character.
reply

What is left out here is that SJP had more creative control and was promoted as the STAR of the show, not part of an ensemble cast. Also, wasn't SJP promoted to some type of executive producer and paid more?
reply

Every interview I've seen Kim Cattral in, she seems really down to earth, whereas SJP comes off a bit diva-ish in my opinion. Dunno just and observation. Sticking up for the underdog
reply

I always tried to read Sarah Michelle Gellar's lips in that episode with Matthew Mcconaughey! It was obvious Sarah was saying a different name. I always wondered.
reply

I may be alone in this, but I think Catrall was wrong to be so public with her rejection of SJPs condolences. After all, KC put her brothers death notice out there
reply

If they wanted to make a 3rd movie. they would have. They made the reboot didnt they? Why woudnt a movie work work? Its bs to blame Kim for it.
reply

Kim Cattral was the hottest woman of the 4 imo. I'm glad Darren Starr convinced her to accept the role. She proved he was right to want to cast her.
reply

I always noticed that in the LA episode Sarah Michelle Gellars lips were dubbed over as she really said Warren Beatty. Now I know why!
reply

The Character Samantha genuinely makes me laugh. Its hard for a TV movie production to make me do that. Samantha is a brilliant character.
reply

They should have killed Big in the satc sequel. Hes as annoying as carrie and the carrie character is also tired af and need a revamp
reply

I always said the most unrealistic thing about the show was that Carrie ended up with Mr. Big. You never end up with your Mr. Big
reply

SJP was no match for Kim and she knew itglad that Kim called her out for the phony she isTEAM KIM all the way
reply

SJP is a woman I can't stand. Prima Donna woman with a chip on her shoulder who has borderline talent at best.
reply

You missed the best one Charlotte and Mt Big were banging in real life for a couple of years during the show
reply

But we wouldnt have had that last scene from Samantha at the breast cancer event had it not been her
