Mr. Rogers was a one of a kind man. For this list, well be looking at all those heartwarming moments that made Fred Rogers such a huge influence in so many childrens lives. He introduced us to everything from astronauts to gorillas to crayons to puppets! Weve included the time when he showed us how to make crayons, when he said goodbye, when he talked about divorce, when he met Koko the gorilla, when he talked about violence and shootings, when he buried a pet fish, when he sang with Jeff Erlanger and when he defended PBS to the senate

He was a special, special man. He should probably be sainted if you want to know my opinion. Saint Rogers, the Patron Saint of children and the young at heart. I highly doubt there will be anyone like him in my lifetime. Today's circumstances and environment just don't produce those types of people. Even if there were, people would call him names (you know what types of names I am talking about. and shame on those people. He will be forever missed and forever loved for the things he did for us children, growing up. If there is a heaven, I assure you he has a huge audience of children whose lives were too short. and they are enjoying their time with him just as much, or more, than we did.

We had the solutions to the World's problems when Mr. Rogers was still with us but we chose to go another way and now we are captured by the greedy, immoral, self-interested entertainment industry and a Congress that would laugh up it's sleeve at Mr. Rogers and cops so aggressive and so caught-up in an adversarial system of mistrust and violence that they that would never cool their feet on a hot day with an honest citizen like him.
Think about what he was trying to teach us and then think about what kind of influence television and the Internet are having on society and then tell me how on earth we could have been such fools.

Heroes are hard to come by. I was born in 1969, and from the very first time I watched Mr. Rogers, King Friday, and Henrietta Pussycat, I was mesmerized. His message was so affirming, and his cadence was slow and thoughtful. He embodied love, acceptance, and taking a stand against evil. He was much more than a messenger of tolerance. He was also a strong man who was unafraid to support ideas and people he knew made the world a better place. What a beautiful and inspirational man. He is no longer part of this material world, but we can all try to be more like Fred Rogers.

I never had him in my life until now, and I'm 25 yeard old. However, ever since I got to know about him, the sincerity in his eyes and genuine care in his words have made me cry like a baby. Simple words like you are special manage to touch something inside me, and I feel so happy to have footage of a human being like him. I envy all children who had the opportunity to grow with him, and I hope that he's managed to pass his message on to at least one of them.

PBS was great when I was a child. Now in 2023 the woke took it over and my kids hate it. Mr Rogers was real. So were many other programs. I learned so much. It was a diverse TV station back in the day. PBS stayed away from division and taught that the world was full of beautiful colors. A world were all could live together. It taught this by simply letting people be people. Now like everything else PBS has gone backwards and let the insanity take control.

I really loved Mr Rogers. I really believe that we need Mr Rogers these days. Things are harder. So much hostility division and problems. He was calming and helpful as well as someone who talked to us and wasn't difficult to hear from. Even as an adult, people still sometimes watch his shows on here. We need Mr Rogers on some of the streaming services so people can watch it. I don't know how to make it happen but it would be great and helpful too.

I Miss when children television was all about teaching children respect, love, honestly, friendship and everyday things that wore important. And Fred Rogers was the top of the best role models for children. We need another Fred Rogers in this world. How hateful and dishearted people have become it's sad. I bet Fred is looking down sad that his impact on American children didn't last after his death.

You know I always thought this, and shows like Barney, were just crazy level weird. Straight weird.
But looking back on the insanity of society today - I see the purpose, I see the point, the value, and why this man is such a worthy legend.
What we see today in kids shows and cartoons, shows just how far we have fallen.
Morality is the name of a dead cat in Joe Biden's basement.

When he left I cried like my grandpa w a s leaving. I cried through this whole video. he was such an innocent part of my childhood. The trauma I experienced after the show changed my life for the worst forever. So seeing him just brings me to a happy place.
I also remember the divorce episode. And about 10yrs later my parents got divorced.

I once saw a prank show where they were pranking celebrities and filming their outrage. When they pranked Mr. Rogers, he was so kind, unruffled, and friendly that the premise of the show backfired, and the whole tone of that episode derailed into one of genuine kindness and admiration.
What a legend.

the fact he brought up mental health issues way before it's time was also a huge deal. He was never afraid to shy away from any issue, and I'm sure he'd be open to talk about LGBTQ today if he was still around. Mr. Rogers was ground breaking and no show will ever be as powerful. Rest in peace.

I came to him a little late in my childhood. I tried to be cool and try not to like him. I tried to find him a bit too corny or mushy. But I couldn't. He grew on me, fast, and I could not resist watching the show. The cardigan. The shoes. The trolley. The mailman. The kindness. Irresistible.

You know, when I was a kid, I used instruments to express myself instead of speaking out. I watched the documentary about him he said, I expressed my feelings through a piano Im happy that I now know I was not alone.

He seems like truly good person. Here in the UK our biggest star for kids happened to be Jimmy Saville. He turned out to be a known paedophile. This is absolutely true btw. I wish we'd had someone like Mr Rodgers.

These guys stole his car and when they realized what they did. They promptly returned it cleaned and filled with gas with an apology for stealing his car. Haha. That says it all. Nobody harms a living angel.

Mr Rogers was an amazing human. I learned and loved and laughed with him. His comment about when there are troubled times always look for the helpers has stuck with me my entire life. Rest in peace Mr Rogers!

I never watched this show (Im a bit too young) but someone mentioned him to me and I had to look him up. Watching this I am literally sobbing. Nothing is this wholesome anymore.

All the nostalgia. rudely interrupted by your chirpy, chippy voice narration. I'm nostalgic for the time when people didn't talk over the content they're showing.
