Almost a straight run for Alfred Hitchcock. Although Edith Head ran the costume department, it was Hitchcocks brilliant working relationship with Head, who understood him and his characters perfectly, and his uncompromising belief in his judgement as to what his stars should wear, that elevated Grace Kelly in his films. He knew Kelly could achieve perfection and he was painstaking in getting it. Likewise with Eva Marie Saint in North By Northwest, who is also immaculately dressed in every shot and Tipi Hedren in her two Hitch movies.

Grace Kelly looked incredible in all these outfits but the ones from Rear Window and To Catch a Thief were the best. She just looked was so beautiful and glamorous, the clothes fitting her and flattering her perfectly. Classic Hollywood at its best.
