Whitney should have been called Bobby & Whitney. The movie seemed like it was told from his view point. I was disappointed at how it started from when they met instead of her childhood. And I was mad at how he wore the same hair piece throughout the whole movie. Aaliyah should have been called Robert & Aaliyah and the MJ movie shouldnt have been made at all.

Personally, while I agree with what the top 10 list of the worst made-for-TV celebrity biopics are in nearly every negative description, there was one word that should have been included in this video: Cringeworthy. After all, that is something that MsMojo should have brought up. Other than that, great video of the latest top 10 list.

Too Legit was pretty good in my view. Whitney had good acting and direction but bad script. Man In The Mirror was trash and honestly it destroyed Flex Alexander's career. Lifetime needs to stick to movies about women who are in bad relationships or feminist movies. Aaliyah movie proved it in addition to the others.
reply

The movie takes her no-nonsense strong personality and turns it into a stubborn, bitter and unlikable character.
It presents her as less strong feminist icon and more unpleasant spoiled child.
You're saying they told the truth about her true character, instead doing pathetic pandering?

reply

Just because it didn't go down as you expected it to doesn't mean it was bad y'all just expected her to be painted in some kind of angelic light like she's perfect or something no she went through some shit that's part of her sorry now you can't just gloss over it like it never happened
reply

In my opinion Whitney was not bad at all! The casting for Whitney was almost perfect but the script is terrible not only that Whitney deserves a theatrical biopic which Im happy to say shes finally getting! The movie should have been called Bobby & Whitney!

Number one lesson about Bio film's:
Never trust Hollywood to write a movie about someone's life and career, let the most trusted members of friends and family to write gather the memories and put it in screen.

reply

Anna Nicole was actually pretty good but Britney forever after or whatever it was called was terrible I also liked Liz and dick Whitney yikes what a disaster but most others I didnt even know were made
reply

Aaliyah deserved to be #1.
Saw the movie once, gagged and never watched it again. Wendy Williams went ahead even tho the music was prohibited. Michael Jackson's biopic. let's not even.

reply

NONE of these did the famous people they're about justice.
Most of them feel more like fictionalized.
Glad the ones I knew were just a bad idea made the list.
Good job guys!

Elizabeth Taylor is an icon of cinema and a pivotal figure in the fight against AIDS and she deserves a hell of a lot better than some cheap lifetime movie.
reply

At least the girl who played Aaliyah KIND OF looked like Aaliyah if you squinted hard enough. The same cannot be said for the girl who. ahem. played Britney.
reply

Shania Twain and Brittany Spears need real big screen biopics that will be better then the ones I didn't see on Lifetime, but might just check them out.
reply

The Michael Jackson biopic was the worst. From the actor to the false depiction of the allegations. it was totally based on tabloids with no factual input.
reply

those pussies made that man in the mirrior movie to defile michaels name cause i remember they made it a the time of when he was going to trial
reply

Ring of Fire & Anna Nicole was really not that bad. I thought it was decent. Now Liz and Dick was funny to me and I watch it for a laugh
reply

So the gal playing Madonna looked a lot like her. Anyone know who it is? Also, that's Wendy Malick playing opposite her, is it not?
reply

Zendaya dodged a bullet. Thank god she said no when they asked her. Bc Aaliyah fans would never let her to forget it
reply

They might as well have called the Whitney biopic Bobby & Whitney, since the main focus of it was their relationship
reply

I did not see the Brittany one but I actually thought that girl looked a lot like her. She's got the big doe eyes.
reply

Toni Braxton story Toni Braxton (Zoe Saldana)
Luna Moon Valentine (Suzy Bae)
Jack Glinsky (Jack Whitehall)

reply

The Michael Jackson bio starring flex Alexander is gloriously bad. Like a great bad movie night flick.
reply

Number 10: No way. Number 9 and 8: Maybe. Actually kinda like all the bios on this list help with my ulcer.
reply

Or I could go to my aunt and uncle. They literally grew up with MC Hammer and are still friends. Lol.
reply

Movie wise ths only bippics I ever have liked are: Selena, Bohemian Rhapsody, Walk The Line, La Bamba
reply

I seriously remember watching Liz and Dick when it first aired. I had to see it and it was laughably bad!
reply

Whitney Houston biopic is WAY BETTER than the HORRIBLE Aaliyah movie & GOD AWFUL Man in the mirror movie
