Dawson's Creek - the show in which 25-year-olds play 15 year old high school students, who unrealistically use never ending sentences of high-speed-academic-level-vocabulary to express their over-the-top-egocentric teenage-pseudo-issues to create a psychotic feminin-victim-mentality-image that naive 15 year old girls romanticize and adapt as their reality without questioning, which leads them to have these soap-opera-like expectations of life and relationships, which will eventually fail because of this unrealistic portrait of life, which again leads these girls to be miserable because they fail to detect these issues created by media and their own lack of proper education and ability to evaluate, filter and self-reflect. I don't even want to know how many young relationships unnecessarily failed, because girls felt the need to adapt the selfish and toxic behavior of the show's characters and also I don't want to know how many young men were devastated after not being able to reconstruct the reasons for why their girlfriend broke up with them in a Dawson's Creek manner - which means, that often not even the girls themselves knew why they were breaking up in the first place other to create drama from which they can create a state of self-inflicted misery to seek attention and pity from others. Yes that is actually stuff from that show and I chose my words this way on purpose to show the ACTUAL WAY supposed high school teenagers talk in that show. (NO EXAGGERATION)

Pacey and Dawson are equally good its joey thats she is the worst character because she can never make up her mind first she practically trys and break up Jen and Dawson cause she likes Dawson and then when Jen and Dawson actually break up Joey starts dating him but later dumps him to be alone and find herself then goes and dates jack not even a week later then Dawson and Joey get back together and she dumps him because he did the right thing selling her father out then Dawson goes away for awhile and when hes back Joey decides to get back together but Dawson doesnt want to get heart broken again so he declines and she gets mad pfft awhile after her and pacey get together good for her but instead of telling Dawson they keep it a secret starting this love triangle thing when Dawson finds out later on and then pacey and Joey break up when she dates pacey again in season 6 she later dumps him at harleys prom because she doesnt feel right with him then fast forward to the last episode she changes her mind and she does feel right with him and both guys are just completely okay with this because they are both under her spell thats why Joey is the worst prove me worng

My opinion is that Dawson Creek should have ended after episode 22 in season 6. I could compromise that neither of them ended up together and went their separate ways. Dawson doing his movie thing, maybe getting back with Gretchen. Joey finding her way in Europe, maybe ending up with Eddie and Pacey pursuing that girl he liked at school which he met in that bar. The last two episode special made absolutely no sense and was totally unrealistic. Killing off Jen was a real letdown. But the worst was the last scenes where Joey and Dawson sits on a bench telling that they will always love each other while holding hands and all. Giving the audience the feeling that they will end up together. Then suddenly they cut straight to Joey and Pacey sitting in the couch watching the ending of Dawson's TV show. And then Dawson calling just to tell them that Spielberg wants to have a meeting with him. Like Dawson just would give up Joey that easily. He ends up with nothing always playing second fiddle. Very bad move from the directors in my opinion. Thumbs down!

I always wanted pacey to end up with andi but instead he moved on and she stayed in love with him. And Dawson and Joey wow from the start they were meant to be together and it was teased all throughout the series yet we never got that happy ending. Joey and pacey ending up together ruined the ending for me every second they were on screen as a relationship I was disgusted

did you knew that the creator of Dawson Creek write the show based on his life and as he is gay he deliberatly named the feamale interest of Dawson (a young man dreaming of being the next Speilberg just like him) Joey. A boy name.
He said he wanted Joey to be a guy at first but the network did not allowed so he did the Jack plot after.

Pacey's I remember everything That line is not something every guy can say and something every girl hopes for. If joey wasn't in love with pacey before that then definitely after that.
OMG! I haven't even finished watching the list when i commented and it was #1. It was a really memorable line.

So many beautiful moments! I loved when Pacey met Andi, Dawson and Joey's first kiss, Pacey and Joey falling in love, Jen's general growth with Jack as her bff and her video to her daughter, etc. The first time between Joey and Pacey was so sweet! I was a huge fan of DC when it was on. So dang good

So unrealistic movie, they supposed to be high school kids and they are acting like it's so miserable and complicated and always have problems. Okay of course they have some family mostly problems but they are doing all the other parts so complicated like the feelings joy's and Dawson s.
reply

Watching this as an adult was different. It should have been Pacey's Creek, because he's the character who grew the most. Dawson had classic only child syndrome, and only thought about himself first and foremost. Then he stomped and threw a crying fit when Joey chose Pacey! lmao

I loved the music those 90's shows introduced. It has become overused and given way to appreciation of original scores (Think Michael Giacomo beautiful original scores for Lost) But whenever I see or think about Joey/Pacey I remember the gorgeous rendition of Cheer Up Sleepy Jean.

Jen's death emotionally destroyed me i really love the show but i can't watch it again because every time i will see Jen i will be thinking that she will die and she will never see her daughter grow up. She was so young she had all her life ahead of her it breaks my heart.

This show really portrays how awful the dating scene has degenerated in the last 20ish years primarily due to the increase in prevalence of technology in our every day lives. True connection like this is a rarity now days. Really did grow up in the wrong generation.

I really liked that Abby had no positive traits to redeem her. Even her diary was pure evil, revealing that she meant every mean thing she has done or spoke. Must have been very funny to play this character and there are not many opportunities in the industry to do so.
reply

That library scene with Abby was nothing special. Pacey helping andie in bathroom when she was seeing Tim was soo sad. Josh was amazing in that scene. Great acting.
The whole 5th season sucked. I only watch 5th season just see Pacey in chef outfit.

Michelle Williams is my favorite from the cast. She was so pretty. She also became the most successful from the cast with so many acting nominees and awards. The Marilyn Monroe movie was my favorite that she was in. She played Marilyn Monroe perfect.

Jack and Tobe kissing to Dido Take My Hand and Tell Me What You're Thinking, was classic and unforgettable as a gay male. I hope to have this one day with my future husband. Still waiting at the ripe age of 36 to fall in love and have that moment

Just finished watching the whole series at 40 year old - I loved it, forgot how amazing it was and enjoyed every minute, the last episode is probably the best ending to any of it's kind - thank you Capeside crew. see you soon child. soon

Me watching Dawson's creek when I was 15: I don't understand half of what they're saying but it's probably because I'm young
Me watching Dawson's Creek at 37: I still don't understand half of what they're saying

I found Joey's mugging to be very unrealsitic. No one was on the street. This is Boston, a pretty busy city. Muggers usually steal then run away to steal for another day. This guy stayed and chatted with Joey.
reply

The fact that Jen had to die so Joey could make a decision, just bugs me and brings out the question: if somebody has to die so you make a decision, hae you really grown up? C'mon. unnecessary! :

for me the most unforgettable and iconic moment is when joey picks pacey over dawson in the season 3 finale and dawson watches her leaving to go to pacey and does the legendary crying face
reply

I never saw any chemistry between Joey & Dawson. He didnt even want her until Pacey did.
Even though Dawson was the main character. He was the least likable/interesting.

reply

Most unforgettable moments. Joey being awful multiple times. Daughters are I are almost through the series, we can't stand Joey. The feeling started in season 2. LOL
reply

Joshua Jackson was so hot for Katie Holmes, he's melting down in front of the camera. What chemistry. You don't see that in him with the other actresses
reply

Jacey stole the show. I just finished rewatching the series after more than 20 yrs and I actually fastforwarded to their scenes on almost every episode lol
reply

I remember everything is iconic, romantic, and so nostalgic. It is the best quote in the series and very rightfully the number line on this list.
reply

I know death isnt a joke but when Abby died Im sorry to say I laughed and when Mitch died I cried. When Jen died I felt awful her poor daughter: c
reply

I like pacey a lot, I just cannot stand Joey at all. Ever since they got together I dont want to watch the show no more. She annoys tf outta me ong
reply

pacey and joey were so meant for eachother. he always treated her so well and was so respectful of eachother. glad they ended up together
reply

Joey Potter will forever be one of the worst characters to ever exist. Selfish as all hell, greedy as all hell, and annoying as all hell.
