There was an interview a couple years ago with the show's head of wardrobe. She said that since the main characters were high-class rich girls, she needed to dress them as such, but she was also limited by a TV budget. So she thrifted a lot of the pieces through vintage stores, and she even had to change the colours of some of the clothes. Props to one of the most iconic and hardworking wardrobe departments!

I really loved season 1: ) One of the problems in season 2 for me was that the chanels were not the chanels. They were rich, pretty, and petty which I liked but the rich part was stripped from season 2 which was so annoying for me. I just think it their richness adds to their power:
