Alex and Rossie's relationship is much better in the book. The story told through letters which have the most important moment at the end of the book were omitted as if they meant nothing. Not only did the movie not show many of the important scenes that made sense of why they ended up together, but it also changed the fate of the characters (their names too ugh) so that the person who read the book felt like they were watching a completely different story. The movie is lovely but the book is definitely better.
That's reason why this movie is underrated

Its wrong to say that the love doesnt happen. Sometimes, we cant base decisions as a story in reality. Love happens, no matter what. If 2 people do hit it off and know that they belong with each other, then love happens.

The Holiday is SO BAD. It has to be Cameron Diaz's absolute worst performance. I know some people love it but I couldn't even finish it, the dialog was HORRIBLE and Cameron Diaz was completely unbelievable.
