I think because half of the original cast of Season 1 left and the news of Jerry came out. So disgusted from the news and spoilers of Jerry who was one of the breakout stars from the first season happened while filming Season 2 there was obviously a huge wrench thrown into filming. I think they added their rivals TVCC just to make the show interesting since it wouldnt be a smart PR move to just only focus only on Navarro wouldve messed with the ratings and not be as successful as Season 1 after the news about Jerry. I feel like Netflix had to shed light on the topic because he was already getting investigated by the FBI and held in jail with no bail. Thats one good thing they did is shed light on inappropriate behavior in the world of Cheer and how a multi billion dollar industry will push things under the rug or turn a blind eye if the person who is perpetrating is helping them win. It just seems like yesterday that we finally saw justice for the victims of Larry Nassar who had inappropriate relations with the competitors for the US Womens Gymnastics team. If you dont know he was the osteopathic physician for the US team for many years spanning for almost 2 decades (18) and was treating injuries for competitors and would groom them to thinking it was normal muscle therapy. Parents trusted the organization and Larry Nassar because he was the doctor for the winning team. I cant believe they just started investigating misconduct after Cheerleading competitions have been around for decades.

Certain things that I took as shade toward Navarro from Trinity really turned me off at times. And that was unfortunate because I started off loving their sort of fiery edge. But IDK, maybe Im wrong here but I heard them saying things that made it seem like Navarro had it easy and I couldnt help but be like, umm. hello? I must have missed something in Season 1 that gave me that idea! Regardless, I do wonder if there will be a season three involving either of these schools because I kind of feel like theyve done as much as they can do with the two squads.

What I learned most from this show is a lot of these kids were missing a parental figure in their lives, and found that person in Monica. But they only have her for two years, and really she's not their parent. How well do they adjust when they move on from her? I think it's something Monica wrestles with internally. Where is the line between parent and coach?

Feel so sorry for La'darius, it was clear why he would be so upset and angry after jerry was exposed for abusing kids since he himself was abuse as a child aswell and the fact he didn't pick up that jerry was that type of person really messed with his head. Yet they down play it as him just having a chipp on his shoulder an a attitude problem for leaving.

From the very beginning Lexi bothered me. I coached competitive dance teams for years and I never wouldve put up with her crappy attitude. I also did not like the brush off on injuries. Personally I dont think Monica is such a great coach. And by the way my girls won major championships.
