Top 10 Musical Moments in DreamWorks Movies Ive adored Jennifer Saunders since I was a kid and watched Ab Fab. Her comedy hooked me, then I started to find her vocals and I loved her more. I found out she was in the Shrek 2 movie before it came out. So, my kids, hubby, and I went to see it at theatres all because she was in it. We loved it. It is still in our DVD collection. It is one of the go-to movies for bad days.\r\n

There's something odd about the original Shrek Soundtrack.
Not only are the songs mostly not in the order they appear in the movie, but the version of I'm A Believer isn't the same as the version in the movie before Donkey took over. or the version most often played either.
The version on the Soundtrack is this odd, more slow version that I'd never heard anywhere else, ever

Personally, I'd have liked this list better if it only contained songs written FOR their movies. All-Star, Can't Stop this Feeling, Firework, etc don't hit me nearly as well as many of the original scores. Deliver Us! deserved the #1 spot, and Spirit totally should have been higher on the list, Bryan Adams is AMAZING and I love love love his music.

I know I'm a guy, but holding out for a hero by fairy godmother is a guilty pleasure fro me. But I believe a woman can sweep my off my feet. If you're out there, don't be shy; replay lol. No, srsly other guilty pleasures in the music of some underrated movies of mine are I'm still here in Treasure Planet and the whole crazy train thing in Megamind.

Yall just gonna sit here and pretend Toonsylvania and the songs from Igors Science Minute and Melissa Screetchs Morbid Morals didnt exist! Well, I dont blame you, because apparently, SO DOES DREAMWORKS!
But seriously, some songs from the series are very good. Im still having a hard time getting Evolution and The Attorney out of my head

Thank you for highlighting the amazing soundtrack for Spirit. Its definitely an under-appreciated movie with great artistry and a story that pulls at the heart. Its a toss up for me between Spirit and The Prince of Egypt for my favorite dreamworks movie.

WHEN IT COMES TO PRINCE OF EGYPT, ALL I CAN REALLY REMEMBER IS your messing with the big boys now. I guess its maybe the visuals of the priests being too busy singing to realize that Moses's magic utterly destroyed anything they could come up with.

I just love can't stop the feeling! And I enjoy the true colors song even more now thanks to Trolls. The Trolls movies are my favorite movies ever. So I enjoy the song just sing. Still, however, I don't get tired of all star or I'm a believer.

I'd say u need The Ten Plages or Through Heavens Eyes Because the 10 plauges shows of gods power gives him praise and gives both prespectives of the story. Wheras Heavens eyes tells the wonders god can do and give you if u take the time.

Ive revisited Chicken Run, The Road to El Dorado and the Prince of Egypt during the Pandemic. Neither of the three have aged badly. But the Shrek movies were more of my childhood. The 2nd being the best
reply

Wow someone finally gives Spirit some love! It's such an amazing movie! Also pleased that they at least mentioned Sinbad and Joseph king of dreams, because they also deserves some love!
reply

I remember when I was in choir in high school and we did When you believe and it brought so much feeling to me. I kept saying I know what number one is going to be its going to be All Star
reply

I definitely think the song When You Believe shouldve been #1. I think Shrek is good but definitely overrated. In my opinion, The Prince Of Egypt is by far Dreamworks best film!
reply

Romantic Flight, Deliver Us and Holding Out For A Hero are definitely top 3. Deliver Us especially, went hard. It definitely didn't need to but man I appreciate that it did.
reply

My favorite musical DreamWorks moment? For the Dancing and the Dreaming from How to Train Your Dragon 2.
(Although Through Heavens Eyes is a very, very close second)

reply

My top three favorite is from
Prince of Egypt
Madagascar 3
& Joseph king of dreams
Rarely I like in replacing Madagascar 3 with Shrek of (all star)

reply

Um, Cant Stop the Feeling did NOT win Best Original Song; that went to City of Stars from La La Land - maybe do a bit more fact-checking.
reply

The beginning of Shrek and the song All Star deserves to be number 1. It was as good as the opening in Shrek the Musical, maybe even better.
reply

My fave from the httyd franchise def has to be test drive and where no one goes from the 2nd movie like that has no reason to go THAT hard
reply

i had to pause at Test Drive. HOW DARE THEY RANK IT AT NUMBER 4? IT SHOULD BE NUMBER 1. ALL OF HTTYD SOUNDTRACK IS AWESOME HOW DARE.
reply

My favorites are El Dorado, Spirit, The Prince of Egypt, Joseph King of Dreams, Shark Tale, and Sinbad Legend of the seven seas.
reply

#8, #4, and For the Dancing and the Dreaming are my favorites. (I wish Dreamworks Animation would make serious movies more often)
reply

Dancing in the dark Home
Good tonight the bad guys
Can't stop the feeling Trolls
For the dancing and dreaming Httyd 2

reply

Hmm, great list, but I think Rufus Wainright's Hallelujah should've been first choice. It's simply epic, and so moving.
reply

Antz might be DreamWorks very first movie but for their second movie The Prince of Egypt is their masterpiece since 1998
reply

I love the Prince of Egypt movie and the first 2 movies of How to train your Dragon and Sprit and Joseph King of Dreams!
reply

my favorite remix/singing of the songs from prince of Egypt are done by two awesome men. Jonathan young and Caleb Hyles
reply

Watchmojo: Number five When You Believe The Prince of Egypt
The Plagues: Hold my beer
Edit: YESSS DELIVER USSS!

reply

Once again, Abominable is CRIMINALLY overlooked. A movie that revolves around music and is full of beautiful pieces
reply

Holding out for a hero should definitely have been higher up on the list
Although Im glad All star was number 1
