I love how his character development turned into the not so cliche bad boy character trope. Rich, handsome, popular, and skillful yet a good dorky guy. Hes always brave and puts himself in harms way without hesitation for his friends. He may not win against people but he wins against monsters, which is a skillset that you need more in the show. He isnt ignorant and dismissive of his mistakes, he realizes what he did wrong, he makes up for it, learns, and become better.
In addition, when they were at School just realizing that Max was the next target, they heard a noise outside the room. Instead of just walking out to check, he grabbed a lamp to ensure that he has a weapon for protection, and that is not common in suspense and thriller films so I really liked that. Also, hes just really the ideal hero you want by your side. When Max was at the graveyard, Lucas and Dustin kept telling Steve to give her more time alone to read her letter to Billy but Steve didnt listen, he was anxious, fidgety, and cautious. So he went to check on Max even if she gets mad at him after that, JUST IN TIME for him to see that there is sumn wrong, and that ended up giving them enough time to call Nancy and Robin for help and managed to save Max. I applaud him for that so much! No one mentions it but the credit really goes to him.
I already started loving him the moment he went back and saved Nancy and Jonathan in S1. I just knew right then and there that hell be an important character.

11: 08 - I feel like this is where Steve really showed his true colours. He certainly wasn't a complete jerk in season 1, and I thought it was evident that he cared for Nancy. But he did do a few crummy things and his character could have gone in either direction. When he comes back to help Nancy - even though he's pretty freaked-out and knows he could die - that's when he shows who he really is. Lol, I actually thought Steve would die in season 2. Once, when the multiple demegorgons attacked and later when he and the boys set fire to the underworld. I was certain he wasn't going to make it out alive, I thought he'd completed his character arc and there'd be no more story for him. Boy, was I ever wrong! (And really glad to be wrong)

You missed some moments. But thats because every time hes on screen is one of my favorite moments. He makes this show 10x better. Hes a great comedic addition along with someone who really captures whats going on in every scene. Hes also the most realistic character when it comes to certain things, ex: When theyre at the Creek house and the gang catches on to the fact that Vecna triggers the flashlights. Steve didnt just go along with it. He did what most people would do: freak out and hesitate to follow directions, and I quote, Wait, but if we turn off our flashlights we wont be able to see Idk, hes Just by far my favorite character

Steve was never a jerk himself. He just hung out with 2 couple of AHoles that influenced him in a bad way. You eventually become who you surround urselves with. The only jerky thing he did was break the camera but it's b/c Steve was trying to protect Nancy from a potential serial stalker killer. If someone you barely know is creepily following ur g/f taking photos of her in her house, what would you do? And he didn't resort to violence so it wasn't really a jerky thing to do

The worst thing about season one Steve wasn't so much that he was mean it was that too but he was just a guy in the wrong group but it was that he had no character outside of just being Nancy's boyfriend once they broke up he had a purpose to be a mentor and a protector to the kids and have a better friendship with robin for that reason I don't want Steve and Nancy to get back together

I loved it when Steve replaced Jonathan's camera and let's Nancy basically have the credit and although I thought Steve was quite mean for breaking the camera to begin with he did think Jonathan was being a pervert towards Nancy so his actions were kinda justified there because he was protecting his girlfriend I'm just glad he really is a good character after all

You can truly tell how much the kids love him just from the fact that Max (someone who doesn't open up or let people in easily) wrote him a letter because he means so much to her as he's the big brother she always wanted, plus she doesn't write any letters for Nancy, Robin or Eddie proving how much more he means to her as she only wrote them for those closest to her.

Steve only helped study so he could eventually sleep with her. he was an asshole to Johnathan and before u say bcuz he looked like a stalker with the pics. he already didn't like him to begin with and they were messing with him before the picture. how tf u think he got the camera like there's no excuses

MsMojo, I can't help but notice there are A LOT of plot twists throughout this series. I watched the first four seasons (and plan to watch season 5 when it comes out, and there were at least 6-8 plot twists in season 4 ALONE. Can you make a top 10 biggest plot twists in Stranger Things?

like. no matter how many children Steve end up having he will already have 6 kids. When Steve is 80 and complaining about everything from losing his hair to joint pains you know those 6 Hawkins kids will visit him.

I love Steve so much! And I don't think he was THAT bad in season 1. He was defending Nancy against a guy taking secret pictures of her. That was kind of creepy really. Of course I love season 2-4 Steve the best! :)

Steves actions in season 1 are 100% justifiable, if I found out that someone was taking pictures of my girlfriend while she was undressing then I wouldve broken his camera too, completely reasonable reaction.

I sometimes hated how Nancy thinks Steeve is a airhead and not important enough, and she acts like she must save the world, while Steeve is the reason both Nancy and Johnathan still have their siblings.

My favorite Steve scene is the bat flip. and before that. when he's at his car and sees the house lights flickering like crazy. The look on his face was like, Oh crap. Now I have to go save these guys?

If Steve had died I would have rioted. He had the best character development of anyone in the entire series. As far as who he is as a person, he's also one of the kindest and most open-minded.

after Season 4, i wanted him to be back with Nancy. Also, i love how we always thought that Steve would die in each season and then BOOM, back for the next one. clearly a fan favorite

Steve's likability is 25% writing and 75% Joe Keery's natural charisma. It was that charisma after all, that made the Duffer brothers reconsider killing him off season 1.

He is one of the best characters on this show! Love him so much. His acting is super natural. And he is handsome. I can see one day he can be The new James Bond.

I think Steve changed as a person the moment he decided to go with Dustin and help him even without fully understanding what he's helping him with!
