Ive never had this issue with another actor before & its so confusing!
If I close my eyes, she is beautiful to listen toher speaking voice, her dialect just so calming and lovely on everything Ive ever seen her in! Its that part of ourselves that comes from deep in the diaphragm, I think, and its just soothing & melodic.
However, if I open my eyes it ruins everything! Not her looks, because of course shes beautiful but even if she had a flaw, Hollywood could cover it up. So physically beauty isnt even an issue here. Im talking about the lack of expression, the lack of emotion, wheres the tear streaked splotchy face during an intense scene that makes me believe she has any lived experience whatsoever? Or the hilarious, side-splitting, belly laughs during a scene so joyful that you actually have to laugh, knowing your fans are laughing so hard theyre crying?
Shes not a bad actress, she just doesnt show emotion on her face! And Im sorry but if my husband had us in one of those simulations, I would be expressive in my face & probably allover my body!
And about the movie, can I just say how aggravated I am! Im not mad at any individual person for how it is because not one of them had any right to try to to make that movie! It cant be blamed on 1 person. They should have noticed early on that they had no independent charisma, no chemistry between any of the actors & told their buddies, We suck, lets let somebody else do this one rather than throw together a bunch of crap and ruin a good storyline

she's going to be playing princess Irila in dune part 2 and i hope when we see her play the princess we can add it to the top of the list because she's going to be playing a very important complex character so if she get's it right it will deserve the top spot. it is also worth knowing she will be working with the same guy again so let's hope that is a good sign for that movie, the princess is my favourite character so i'm really crossing my fingers there.

Florence Pugh is so dynamic. It's rare for such a young actress, just blossoming as a star, have enough noteworthy performances of nuanced characters to make such a list but that just speaks to her greatness. I adored her turn as Amy March and many others but I am excited to see what she has in store for us next!

Florence was probably the only Saving Grace of Don't Worry Darling, next to Chris and Gemma. Her performance was very captivating, and was far better than the mess of a plot she was stuck in.

There are two things I have seen Florence Pugh in. Hawkeye I found her character annoying. Running Wild with Bear Grylls I like her brave bold of personality.
