I wish more people would check out Daria, I feel like its a pretty great cartoon and have been rewatching it with my bf (paramount +. A lot of people just reduce her to miserable who have never watched it, but shes not. As a quiet teen I can relate to this, a lot of narratives get made about you when you keep to yourself, that you think you're superior or you're depressed. There are even poignant moments where she realizes her hypocrisy or times when shes being TOO cynical. Even though some characters around her might be vapid and shallow, they still have moments of being human and showing their intellegence in other ways. Just stinks because of copyright you can't get it with the music that aired in the episodes, its a fantastic time capsule of what was popular at the time.

Well, I'm not here to say that it should have made the list or that it's one of the greatest shows on TV, but I will go out on a limb for it. I think Young Sheldon is a fine show. It has gone on longer than it really needs to, but I think it's solid. Personally, I think a lot of people write it off just because it's a spin-off from The Big Bang Theory and many of those people who have a negative opinion of that show assume this one's bad without having watched it. It won't change your life or anything, but it's not going to ruin your life either.

No. _The Good Fight_ is outright theft of _Boston Legal_ from an overly bitter Leftist bent. _BL_ was wrecked by the ABC network because David R. Kelly (gasp) had the guts to rip post-modern feminism the new one it still deserves. That is also why so much hate is heaped onto _The Facts of Life_ because they dared to (Louder Gasp) portray females as mature and taking responsibility for all that they bring on themselves.
Lastly. _takes deep breath_. _Daria_ is seriously underrated.

They should do a list of Top 10 attempts at spin-offs that never happened.
Many people hold up AfterMASH as an example of an unnecessary spin-off that failed immediately, but in truth, it was very successful in its first season. What did AfterMASH in was that the network had TOO MUCH faith in the show and put it up against a ratings hit, leading to downfall.

I miss the The Vampire Diaries and The Originals spin-off Legacies. It closer to The Vampire Diaries as it is more teen-centered, but its extension of the history (including more monsters, actual gods and the origins of magic explained) whilst honoring and successfully using BOTH predecessor shows makes it a great show and [as of now] a great franchise closer.

I was floored watching Daria back then. No generic storylines or plots; just a good old show about a skeptical character observing and analyzing the world around her and the people she comes across. Daria never shied away from giving her thoughts about her generation and it's refreshing for that reason. Especially for a spinoff.

I didn't even realize that Boston Legal was a spin-off! But, yeah, it's totally underrated; it always had very interesting cases each episode. I think William Shatner may be a better comedic actor than dramatic one, and this show introduced me to the great James Spader. It was like the Ally McBeal of the 2000s.

I would like to add The Green Green Grass from over here in the UK, which was a decent spin off to Only Fools And Horses. Plus Fear The Walking Dead IMO was a great spin off/prequel to The Walking Dead. There is also the best spin off to Arrow, of course The Flash.

Daria is actually not underrated, its actually very popular and I find it nearly as good as B&B! An underrated spinoff would be something that was a failure like Joanie Loves Chachi which is a Happy Days spin off that I dont think was as terrible!

I finished school in the mid-2000's but Daria still spoke to me A LOT when I finally saw it. Some things about high school never change. I was more of a Jane type tbh, but I fully understand now why it's considered so good.

What people forget is that _Rhoda_ is a spin-off of a Spin-off. _The Mary Tyler Moore Show_ was itself a spin-off of _The Dick Van Dyke Show. _ it's rare to get spin-offs of Spin-offs like that.
