You forgot The best of me when she finds out her son got Dawsons heart. Almost every scene from the Notebook & My girl (Ill give you credit there b/c that wasnt a teen movie but forgetting the Notebook, The best of me, My sisters keeper, Cruel Intentions all of which had really sad parts. Go glad you put The Perks of being a wallflower on there though & I cant say you picked wrong but didnt have to mention different scenes in the same movie twice. Also you REALLY shouldve mentioned the movie Thirteen where the ERWs character gets confronted by her mom. That makes me ugly cry to this day. I still love all your content.

A good teacher can make a difference in ones life. Just yesterday I saw my favorite teacher at the grocery store, its been 15 years since I had his class. So I approached him and told him who I was, since its been many years. I told him that he was my most favorite teacher and even though he didnt know the hardship I was going through at home. I wanted him to know that he meant a lot to me and Inspired me to one day become an author. Hearing this, I can tell it meant a lot to him to know that his hard work was not in vain.

(I'm not sure what their criteria was, but I think I would have limited it to one scene per movie) For the Freedom Writers, I definitely would have chosen the scene where they play that line game, rather than the one with the kid who'd just been evicted. That was just the more impactful emotional scene to me. The one that felt like it brought them all together and made them reconcile their differences a little.

I didnt cry at Perks of Being a Wallflower because at the moment I was soooo confused. You know why's that? The censorship company in my country apparently censored the touching part by Aunt Helen so I didn't actually know then that she was abusing Charlie. So I was wondering why Charlie is breaking down so hard.
reply

I killed Aunt Helen, didn't I? This scene gets me every single time I read the book or watch the film. Seeing Charlie's repressed memories return is just gutwrenching, and we feel the same sense of panic and dread as his sister. The poor guy blamed himself for his beloved aunt's death for years.

Spoiler of death poet society
Another one is Neils death in Death Poet society. My god. I really finish really bad after than scene, that poor angel has a so sad ending, and. How someone cant cry with Todds reaction when he knew that! Truly one of the saddest moments than I ever see

I wish my mother had been that kind to me when I had come out to her when I was a teenager about being bi. But instead, she kicked me out of the house during my last year of high school. She apologised later on, but still never should have thrown me out of the house.
reply

I was in high school for both a walk to remember and 10 things I hate about you and when I watch them Im immediately transported back to that teenage girl I used to be. But mostly I hate the way that I dont hate you, not even a little bit, not even at all.

You guys constantly praise Perks of Being a Wallflower, but I am sorry- just like the movie for It's Kind Of A Funny Story it just doesn't do the book justice and doesn't carry the same emotion I got from the book. Why do you guys all like it so much?

The Outsiders: Johnny's note at the end and the images of Johnny and Dallas shown in the background. Dead Poets' Society: Neil's death and the reactions of his fellow students and Mr. Keating. And maybe Plato's death in Rebel without a cause.

It's a shame Logan best underrated actor unfortunately got a bad script when he play Percy. But I will say his performance in perks of being a wallflower is phenomenal I feel for his emotions and pain and almost cried watching it.

The scenes from The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink are both as punctual as they're unexpected and that's what made me love them so much. Now is Good, a small British film, also has a couple of very emotional moments.

When Cameron Frye reveals the issue that he has with his father in Ferris Buellers Day Off, that gets to me every time I've seen. Even though his best friend refers to it earlier in the movie, it's still a blindside moment.

When I read the last song I remember crying for the last 7 chapters. And if I remember correctly the movie was a very similar adaptation. I haven't watched half of these movies but I will admit that this list had me crying.

Charlie's breakdown scene in Perks is very tough to watch. I have never been abused but the feeling alone and then when your mind starts going over so many different things and not stopping, I've been there. It's very realistic.

One scene that always gets me is the scene in Life as A House when George tells Sam hes dying and that he wanted Sam with him for the summer so that he could get him to love him and Sams reaction to that reveal.
reply

The scene that gets me is in Stand by Me when Chris (River Phoenix) tells how he stole money at school, but then returned it to a teacher, but the teacher pocketed the money and bought herself a dress with it.

It's not exactly a teen movie, and I'm definitely showing my age, but Timothy Hutton's breakdown in Ordinary People when he finally comes to terms with his brother's death, destroys me every time.
reply

The scene in 'The Fault in Our Stars' where Hazel's parents try to comfort her after Gus has died, breaks my heart every single time. Hearing Hazel cry makes me cry ugly tears too.
reply

I feel like Todds breakdown in the snow from Dead Poets Society should be here. It gets me every time. DPS is my favorite movie but it also hurts me soooo much. Neil deserves the world.

Would be nice to see some moments from Normal People on this list - there are so many emotional scenes that get into the heart! Especially the talk at the therapist. made me cry badly

Jamie confessing to Landon about her illness is so heartbreaking, and so is the scene where her dad states that Landon was Jamie's miracle, and enhanced her last few months of life.
reply

I will never forget watching The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Simultaneously laughing and crying while feeling infinite was a moment that impacted who I became.
reply

Love, Simon. When her mom said You get to exhale now I felt that, unfortunately when I came out to my parents it's totally opposite of this scene.
reply

I'm sorry, but as someone with a sister, The Perks of Being a Wallflower always hits me hard. When Charlie calls his sister, I bawl every time.
reply

The movie Mississippi damned is another one that made me cry. Sooo dad just the whole movie is full of horrific moments that make you wanna cry
reply

The scene from all the bright places where you find out Theo is dead. I read the book and knew what was coming but still, the tears came.
reply

The Last Song when the father is dying, made me cry but the scene in A Walk to Remember when Landon hugged his father when he helped Jamie
