Once Upon A Studio is what Disney is supposed to be.
I had become so disappointed and dissatisfied with what has been done with the company these past couple of years. With all the political and certain things done with Disney+ and with the films.
Walt started this animation company to bring stories to life and to bring joy and happiness to people of all ages.
I actually got goosebumps watching the the little short, seeing characters of 2D and 3D animation blend and mix so well. Hearing all those voices and snippets of character dialogue from actors long passed. It brought back the love that I had for Disney as a child.
If they would do more stuff like this, I truly believe they would win people back.

I get that the film is practically hated by most people at this point, and I understand why. But like it or not, Song of the South IS still apart of the studio's history. Walt wanted to produce it, and it's references were littered all over Disney up until the recent closing of Splash Mountain. Even if it was a small shot of Br'er Rabbit in the group photo, they should've put at least one reference. James Baskett was given a special academy award for the movie, and Zip-a-dee-doo-dah won for Best Original Song. Just my personal opinion. Still a beautiful short, and incredible in every way.

They showed lots of characters. Dont understand why they havent put all though. No Who Framed Roger Rabbit characters and no Nightmare Before Christmas characters and Pirates of the Caribbean characters.
But its great to see lots of old and new characters, 2D and 3D together in one short! . and seeing them reunite like that is awesome. Short is funny and emotional.
This short is just as awesome as other crossovers including the House of Mouse show.
Havent seen so many characters in one show since the House of Mouse series.

I was truly blown away by this short! Provided they can keep pulling it off with the same quality and heartfelt moments, I want them to keep making shorts just like this. I even imagined that there could be a crossover short with Disney television animation, where Mickey visits for the day. I would even have a moment where he talks to Luz and Amity from #TheOwlHouse, and calls them his favorite couple. Additionally, there could be crossover shorts with the Pixar studio.

I believe the reason why not every single Disney character good or bad was in Once Upon a Studio is because all of the characters that did make appearances in the short film are all from movies that were made specifically and exclusively by Disney Animation Studios, While characters from Disney movies that were made by other studios sadly didn't make the cut and were not used in the short.

This was one of the best things Ive ever watched. I, like many others got really emotional, especially when Mickey talked to Walt. Doesnt matter how old you are, we have a little Disney magic in us all. I dont if Walt ever envisioned his dream and company would be what it is today, but I know damn well hell love this short, and the dreams that have come true

The big highlight for me was seeing Disney Dinosaur's Aladar in there along with his Lemur Family it's my favorite Disney or should I say favorite movie of all time and seeing all those other classics from my childhood it was like seeing old friends again this is by far the best thing from Disney I've seen in a very long time.

I absolutely loved this short. It was such a beautiful tribute to Disneys 100 year legacy in animation. However, the only flaw with it is that they didnt include the cast of one of my favorite Disney animated movies, Who Framed Roger Rabbit. But other than that, this short is an absolute Disney masterpiece.

I loved this short! It's magical, amazing, beautiful, and yes even magical. I will admit to getting teary eyed with both Mickey thanking Walt and when everyone sings When You You Wish Upon A Star at the end (Also that dedication at the end to Disney fans, everyone is just as touching)

I love Disney Once Upon a Studio, because it touched my heart to celebrate 100 years of Disney. Plus the short has lots of characters from every Disney animated film like Bambi, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Frozen, and more. Thank you Disney
reply

The animators did a great job mixing hand drawn animation to 3D animation glad they also included characters from lesser known Disney films too like Oliver & Company, Treasure Planet, Brother Bear, and even Home on the Ranged despite not being well recived film.

This short made me cry hard when Mickey looked up at Walt; it was so beautiful and heartwarming. Disney has not only given me entertainment but has also granted me joy and comfort. I'm 20, but my aspirational love and faith in Disney will last forever.
reply

The ending made me think of the ending to Leroy and Stitch (the finale movie of Lilo and Stitch the Series, where it showed all of Stitch's cousins. There's at least one character from every Walt Disney Animation Studios film in that photo.

When showing Vanellope von Schweetz, driving her car, I LOVE to see Dodger, riding it!
On 6: 35 after Donald Duck noticed Dash, that dumb sloth in my opinion, wasn't by him all along, what did he say? (All I can hear is just grumbling)

reply

My favourite moment was Scar saying Im surrounded by idiots. I assumed Disney reused the recording from The Lion King. It was amazing to discover they actually asked Jeremy Irons back for that scene
reply

I loved seeing all of my favorite Disney characters in this short film. But I wished they could've included all of my favorite Pixar characters, too. Pixar should do something like this, too someday.
reply

Does anyone know if The Ugly Duckling was in the group shot? It was a Disney short from 1939 and won an Oscar. Seeing this duckling break down and cry was such a sad and touching moment.
reply

i absolutely loved this short theres one character that never showed up sadly because it was made by tim burton i really wished jack Skellington showed up but it was still really good
reply

7: 57 This was perfect. Plus, 16 hours of material? And they only had to pick one? I bet the listening of those outtakes just caused uproarious laughter. Robin Williams, we all miss you!

One hundred years and so many amazing memories, characters, and movies, all thanks to the dream of one incredible man! Thank you, Walt Disney.

My favorite was the sloth making Donald Duck hold the elevator. One thing I never noticed as a child was that Donald is such a potty mouth.
reply

Before Mickey, was actually Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Hes the first character Walt made. Right?
And Mickey became more popular than him.

reply

I loved when everyone was singing when you wish upon a star and the past and current Disney characters interacting with each other.
reply

This short film was a great way to celebrate 100 years of Disney. I loved that archive audio for characters such as Genie was used.
reply

Disney gives us this huge homage to their legacy for their 100-year anniversary
Warner Bros. gives us. teen titans GO

reply

Stop making woke BS Disney and we will come.
This short is beautiful, but shows just how far the company has fallen.

reply

I hope they sell the photo as a print someday. I think a lot of Disney fans would love to have it hanging in their homes.
reply

Was a fun 100 years to bad Disney is nothing but garbage now Avengers Endgame was one of the last great movies from them
