Its honestly amazing how long it took Rapunzel and Eugene to get married. Even though Eugene was incredibly eager to start a new life with Rapunzel now that she had returned home to her real family and was living the life of a princess, he eventually understood that Rapunzel was still very young and wanted to enjoy the freedom she had taken away from her for 18 years. He promised to be patient with her and he actually was. Thats what makes it so rewarding when Rapunzel finally and willingly accepts Eugenes proposal after rejecting him two times. Plus, Eugene supported her every step of the way and never hurt her or got angry with her.

When people criticize Aladdin for lying to Jasmine, I think they forget that she also lied to him, and about the same thing: personal identity and social class. The real relationship developed when they both opened up and still appreciated each other for who they were.
Also, I kept waiting for Carl and Elie from Up to be mentioned. I understand that they didn't quite qualify for this list because we saw the beginning, middle, and end of their relationship -- all in the most tear-jerking opening minutes of any animated movie. But they were truly a super couple, and we KNOW that they lasted until the end.

My favs are definitely Shrek and Fiona as well as Helen and Bob. I feel that both couples translate marriage and partnership really well, from the up's and down's, to the love they have for each other and their kids. No matter how tough things get they will always remember their love for each other. Plus they have wonderful friends who are surrounding them and give their support but also reality checks when they need them. These two are really healthy imo. I could go into full detail about both couples, but that would be an entire essay lol.

Jack and Sally for the WIN! I hear a lot of people see their romance come off as a bit random, but there is a buildup throughout the movie. You have to look at the subtext, and a majority of their bonding does happen offscreen. But once you notice it, you can't unsee it.
