Top 10 Nickelodeon Characters That Defined Our Childhood

we re counting down our picks for the live-action and animated Nickelodeon characters who give us the most nostalgia for our youths. Our countdown includes iCarly, Rugrats, Hey Arnold, and more! Who s YOUR favorite Nickelodeon character A little known fact is that when Thornberrys was first created, it was Nigel who was the one who could speak to animals. I produced the first pilot and I really liked it that way because Tim Curry had SO MUCH fun with it but Nickelodeon wanted a kid to do the talking.
(Working with Tim on this and a couple of other shows was the highlight of my career)

Spongebob, Jimmy Neutron, Drake and Josh, Fairly Oddparents, ICarly, Victorious, and Danny Phantom were basically my childhood watching growing up. All of it is so nostalgic. And I did see some reruns of some shows I wasn't born yet to see in here Like Hey Arnold, Rugrats, Avatar: TLAB, and they were also very good.

I'm glad Nigel Thornberry is on this list. The only reason I rewatch the Wild Thornberrys is to hear Tim Curry's charming British accent. I still remember him saying: I say old chap, ever hear the one about the two elephants and the rhino? LOL XD

SpongeBob SquarePants, Timmy Turner, Jimmy Neutron, Danny Fenton/Phantom and Avatar Aang may not have been perfect, but they're still the Best Memorable and Iconic Nickelodeon Heroes they are from our Childhood Years!

Zuko is one of the most relatable and fleshed out characters of all time. Low key the actual main character when you consider how much development he truly got throughout the show. A true masterclass if there ever was one.

I think Rocko and Roger Klotz should ve been a part of this Rocko s cute and very friendly Roger is way more relatable than Doug thank God Doug wasn t a part of this he s just an insecure annoying weak pussy

This list will have to be updated in a few years to include Lincoln Loud. It s hard to believe that we only have a bit more than four months until The Loud House will be eight years old!

Jade was definitely one of the most iconic Victorious characters, rivalled only by Cat. Liz Gillies was fantastic at playing such an aloof, snarky role, and her voice absolutely slays.

I sat down and watched SNSP with my niece who's now a mother. He likes that square sponge just like his mother did. There is something about that yellow guy.

These shows tackled issues like family drama, fitting in, exploration, wonder, and all in kid friendly ways that adults still love appreciate
reply

Unpopular opinion: I prefer Jimmy over Timmy (probably because at least his show didn t go through a horrible case of seasonal rot)
