There are too many episodes of CentaurWorld, though I have to say both the Whales Song, the backstory of the Nowhere King, and the Nowhere King; s ending are all horribly dark. A contender is the song about burying bodies instead of outright killing people to hide your crimes.
Also, with Batman: the animated series-- the one that stood out to me the most was the day the Joker broke Robin. I can't believe they let that one slip into the animation.
And finally, the Static Shock episode about gun control and bullying which ended with a school shooting and someone actually getting shot.

Spider-Man's Screaming NOOO! from the VA really didn't had to go that hard
just from telling by the Tone, the Lungs on that with effort & feeling,
srly the darkest if not Worst things that happened to mine & everyone's favorite Superhero, Childhood icon, & many personal Role Model, and inspirational characters that ever lived.

As dark as that particular episode of EENE is, One of my favorite parts of that episode is when Eddy finally becomes scared of Ed. Because throughout the episode Eddy kept laughing it up like it was all a big joke while Double D kept telling him that Ed wasn't playing around.
And so seeing Eddy finally realize that makes it satisfying.

How about PLENTY of examples from Goosebumps? Such as:
(WARNING for spoilers)
Ricky transforming and enslaving the whole school at the end of Calling All Creeps
Aunt Dahlia dying such a grisly death in An Old Story
Mr. Toggle playing piano for eternity at the end of Piano Lessons Can Be Murder
The list goes on and on.

The As Told by Ginger episode (to me) should tell people NOT to over analyze or jump to dark conclusions. The Powerpuff Girls episode is dark for another reason, the girls are prisoners of Townsville. The Tiny Toons drunk episode is wrong because ONE bottle of beer split 3 ways shouldn't make anyone that drunk.

I Know that Are You Happy Now episode was when SpongeBob was at it s absolute worst (Season 6-9a) but I still shocked that there are a lot of fans of the episode and I find it a guilty pleasure despite how bad it is maybe is because of how you can easily be able to relate to Squidward in the episode.

You forgot Adventure time episode Evergreen. Especially at the end of the episode when we finally discover the continuation of the ice king's crown, and we witness Gunther losing his mind, and Evergreen can no longer do anything to stop the Lich comet from destroying all current life on Earth.

Bruce can relate to Ace because both of them never had a childhood. Ace was trained to be a weapon since she was little, and Bruce had to grow up fast after his parents were killed. At least in the end, Ace shared her final moments with Bruce, the one person who understood her the most.

How did nothing from Owl House (Luz and Hunter s trauma, Hollow Mind/Belos story, The Day of Unity etc) not make it on the list?
EDIT-And what about Amphibia (the cannibals, Anne s death, Marcy getting stabbed and later her getting possessed by the Core etc?

Mr Turner ending up in a coma was really heartbreaking, especially when we never heard whether he survived or not after that episode. It was like he'd simply stopped existing. Luckily, the sequel series revealed that he was alive and well.

Listen in my experience, Steven Universe is FILLED with dark, devastating episodes in every season but at the season finale it showed that he should forget about what happened to him and start a new life

That Batman and Ace scene from Justice League reminds me of that one Wolverine comic. The one were he goes to a cave and drinks a beer with a boy that went through a similar situation. Just heartbreaking

Ginger's poem was always emotionally poignant, it really resonated with me as a youngster. It didn't dawn on me until I was older that everyone was so concerned about Ginger possibly being depressed.

While So Many Birthdays was a particularly dark episode, I thought Alone at Sea was really dark since it covered heavy topics involving the consequence of an abusive relationship and PTSD.

Azula s defeat was actually one of the most satisfying moments in Avatar: The Last Airbender because she was pretty much born to be evil and her comeuppance was long overdue.

That dinosaur ending was super dramatic and heartbreaking to see. I wish kids shows today at least try to do something more specificated to children when telling them stories.

This is one reason why Batman is such a favorite hero to many fans. He's clever, strong, serious, and brutal at times, but deep down inside, he has a heart of gold.
