I wonder if Walt intended for us fans create and fix what the company did wrong,
. So we can right the wrongs. I in my rewrite: it has the same elements as in this video with of the films. with one addition. Magnifico and Amaya have a Son named Prince Eli. His father wants him to follow his footsteps and it also has and grant the necessary wishes, but he wants to grant the wishes that truly are deserved, but a Magnifico pressures him when he shows. As Asha tries to talk to the king, Eli develops a semi crush to her bravery, but hides it. Struggling between winning his father’s respect and his personal desires. Magnifico then tells to marry someone who is noble and in his image, which Eli disagrees. Eli storms off after an argument and hears Asha’s song This Wish. His affection skyrockets, but runs Before Asha sees him.
Then Eli and Asha do a duet (At All Costs) about their similar desires for Rosas. Aladdin and Jasmine reference
What do think I should add to my rewrite to make it believable Feel free to comment, I appreciate any your help to make this rewrite I’m still editing this rewrite.

Yeah Wish is not a masterpiece, not at all, and some of the complaints are legit (I saw some of the deleted scenes and indeed they were very interesting, but I have to say that when I saw the movie at the theaters I kinda liked it, I mean I liked the nostalgic feeling it gives and some of the songs are actually pretty good like This Wish (the melody and the vocals are beautiful) and Knowing what I know now (an epic get ready for the showdown kind of song we don’t usually see in animated musicals! In short, not a masterpiece, but still a pretty decent movie in my opinion! Honestly there's hardly a Disney animated film that i truly hate, there are some that i consider average at worst, like Fun and Fancy Free (i thought the dancing bear sequence was kinda boring, only Mickey and the Beanstalk is good, Saludos Amigos, Pete's Dragon (cringey songs but the animation of Elliot is top notch, The Black Cauldron (i'm willing to give a second chance to this one though) and Dinosaur.

Interesting, yet this new version might be too much of a retcon.
I would at least keep the proposed new intro with Asha's father, Thomas and keep the rest as is.
What if the wish Thomas gave to Magnifico was for prosperity for this family (noble yet also vague)
Thus Magnifico grants it on a whim, inadvertently causing a crisis for Rosas.
Magnifico calls on Thomas saying he's the only one who can fix things, what he doesn't tell anyone is that he fixed the crisis by silencing Thomas. This would work well with Magnifico's past trauma and narcissistic coveting of the wishes.
Say do you do other Rewrite videos Another movie in need of better writing would be Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken.

One thing I hate is that many people think that Asha wants to grant everyone’s wishes she doesn’t want that. She just wants the king to give the ones that he’s not going to grant back also there doesn’t seem to be any of the kind of wishes that you be careful what you want plus I mean sure she wants to grant her grandfather’s wish but as she points out, he’s 100 you don’t think that would be a good PR move for the king but the fact that he sees a thread and just being a street performer shows that is his ego

i say this is a good rewriting wish but i like to add a few things like make the queen a villain too so we have the first Disney villain couple and they have a princess daughter who would help asha and star to stop her evil parents and i like to see star redesign into the human star boy from the concept art and name asler who would be asha new friend partner and later a couple that's what i like to add

0: 43 Wasn’t Chicken Little more panned then Wish Last I checked, Wish’s reviews are very mixed and Chicken Little’s reviews are mixed to negative. I’d argue that what happened to Wish box office wise was objectively worse then the film itself. To reference what Rex said in Toy Story 2, oh well they tried. Speaking of divisiveness, even Home on the Range was divisive with critics.

I like your pitch but I'd still keep the Disney villain couple. Like we think the queen was being good. Like agreeing something is wrong with his husband. But plot twist, she acted to be good only to manipulate the situation and help covering his husband's plans. And we see King magnifeco and his queen has a healthy relationship but being evil. Making them the first iconic Disney villain couple

Fixing Wish What needs to be fixed in this movie I'm pretty sure some people like the villain, King Magnifico and the story seems pretty interesting, but I guess there are some flaws in this movie like maybe they want to see the king and queen as an evil couple or something or that the animation and the humor is off at some degree. Also Alan Tudyk as Valentino the Goat is pretty hilarious.
reply

Or what if Asha was already an apprentice and can use magic. That would be interesting and a nod to the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Or what if Magnifico was the main character He hoards the wishes, but the dangerous bad wishes start to corrupt him and the queen, and then realizing what he has done, he tries to undo his mistakes! Have a protagonist become the villain and then the hero!

I do enjoy Disney's WISH just the way it is was made, however after seeing original concept arts including deleted scenes which Star were supposed to be an boy and Asha's love interest along with the King and Queen are evil couple, I think they should release the Director's Cut of Disney's WISH.

Chris do not mind Disney adopt. Disney and Pixar and marvel Star Wars and 20th century studios and touchstone and 21 century Fox and and ABC and 20th century Fox and Blue sky and PBS Kids and Werner bors family entertainment and Hannah Barbera. And rackin bass entertainment

Wish could’ve done better if it had all the characters from the previous films from Disney animation studios made a background appearance that represented each film like the short film once upon a studio which also could’ve been shown before the film in theaters
reply

I think there should of been a bit at the the beginning with really good 3d affect maybe a grandma reading a story to her grandchildren and then when the story begins it should go into 2d but then back to 3d when it ends and not a mix of both.

Ms. Mojo, only thing I'd change is making the little star into a human named Aster from the original concepts, or at least have her fall in love with a childhood friend of hers. But that's just my opinion, I really liked your version!
reply

The main blameis corporate meddling, as the concept, heck the animatics already made with the concept with: evil couple, Star (being a morphing Star-Boy with romantic implications, etc)look to ur OG concept artist n make that the full film
reply

And I thought the Msmojo can fix it series was for tragic tv characters but I love that your doing a movie ps I thought wish was alright I even got the Asha lego doll because I thought she’d be an official Disney princess
reply

I liked the way wish turned out, like empowering songs, charismatic characters, and a villain who does unique crimes against the kingdom, but I also think some of the original ideas for the film would’ve made it better
reply

2023 was Disney's worst year in recent memory, the movie that was supposed to be the 100 year anniversary was a disaster. I don't get how they came up with this idea instead of making a Mickey Mouse movie
reply

8: 38 Luna means moon so that doesn’t make sense but Lumio (meaning light) could work, especially if the fallen star is male like the original concept for the character was written as (like Star Boy)
reply

I really like this version. While I still prefer having the scrapped Star Boy and King & Queen villain couple take center stage, this version is still far more interesting than the film we got.
